Totally agree. The real hanging starts with OC or DC, then the HC, then the GM. Anybody else is an inocent, meaningless bystander....not enough to sate the appetite of the crowd mulling around the guilitine. And........ why does there have to be a scapegoat?

It sounds like John is not a runaway train making staff decisions on his own. He talks it over with Ozzie, but it sounds like in the end, John makes the call.

While watching football this weekend I felt like I was watching a different game. It was like the football I used to know and love because the Refs let the "players play". Yet it also didn't seem right because they were playing by a different set of rules than the regular season. Basically holding was ok, when in the regular season, if you sneezed in somebody's direction then a flag was thrown. I saw dozens of plays where flags were not thrown but would have been thrown in the regular season. I agree with Billick... The league and the Refs are wrong to do this. Don't have rules and not enforce them like the NBA.

Wilson put up a good article today... He goes on to explain the CAP implication of cutting Rice, Ngata and Suggs and why they have to retain Ngata and Rice. He lists other players who probably will be cut for cap/performance reasons. All in all, the front office has hard decisions to make, but the Ravens are not that bad off for this years cap because they made the right, hard choices last year. They refused to restructure last year and that is a huge help moving forward to field a competitive roster.
