  1. They beat those hokie looking guys in OT!!!!!!!!!! Hard to believe but true. I had to work today so I only caught the 4th quarter and OT. Defense looked good...Brown ran it in for the TD OT win.
  2. Was that a great night or what?!!!! Amazing!
  3. I don't know if this will help....
  4. This team will not make the playoffs this year if they lose, so there's have a lot on the line Sunday. A loss will put them in a dogfight to reach .500. The Ravens have the "We make back up QB's Look Great" jinx going for them. There's another jinx: "The Bears have the 30th ranked run defense so this is a get healthy game."
  5. It's what we thought.... Lose some games and their fans hide....
  6. I think they can win but I'm not confident about it. The Bears have the #3 scoring offense in the NFL. The Ravens are 21st. But...things haven't been going well for Obama lately..+..the Bears are his team..=..Ravens win!
  7. "Not necessarily....if you like reading the same thing over and over and are into obsessive/compulsive behavior, then he's a good read."
  8. Thank you Marvin for calling the time out with 7 seconds left. That gave Tucker time to gauge the wind, get composed and dial it in.
  9. 50% Injuries. Pita...out. They have no TE. Yanda....he is maybe 70% as far as having his strength back after surgery. Osemele...the back made him 50%. He was a beast last year. Jones.....the knee injury set him back. Ray Rice is injured. Pierce is injured....they are trying to hide it. Donte Thompson missed valuable time. Stokely...out...he might have made a difference. Ngata has played hurt....same for Canty. Jones and Williams have missed valuable time. Webb took time to get back in form. 25% on the huge roster turnover and youth movement...needed to stay competitive in this era of the CAP and Parity. 20% on coaching staff...lot of reasons why...but don't pound on them too much because with the injuries and roster turnover they have a huge mountain to climb to build a rock solid playoff contender. You don't get great chemistry and communication over night 5%...simple bad luck..."that's the way the ball bounces"...this evens out over time because last year, the Ravens had a lot of good fortune despite all the injuries.
  10. Excellent question. The NFL is doing it's best to take defense out of the game, to stop the smash mouth physical style of play that the AFC North is famous for. I think it will be viable. Most teams can't hang with it.
  11. Yea...he's saying what I'm saying. I don't see how they can turn this around, but that won't stop me from being glued to my seat on Sunday waiting to see if that's the day. The D is playing better...so 1 cylinder is firing. Tucker is our big, steady consistent scorer....that's 2.
  12. He's $5.5 million richer and all it cost him is 1 humiliating season. He fooled the Texans who have a ton of egg on their face....
  13. Terry Allen...Jason Brookins...I see no difference. Start Tyrod Taylor or run the Polock behind Leach....but they must use Leach or they will never run the ball.
  14. The Ravens are not a playoff caliber team. Not by a long shot. I know what a playoff team look like....and does. We are in week 10 and they are not even a .500 team. They can't win on the road. They can't beat playoff caliber teams. Without an offensive line and running game you can't win in the NFL. They commit too many penalties and turnovers. They have the 29th ranked offense and 15th ranked defense in yards. They have the 21st ranked offense and 8th ranked defense in points. They are 2-2 in their division. The only area they have going for them is that they are 3-1 at home. Even if they win the division because the Bengals tank...they still are not a "playoff caliber" team. It will take a miracle...which sometimes happens...so as a fan, I will show up each week rooting for them to pull it off.
  15. Ben needs more money. He has a ton of women that he has to keep silent.
  16. Oh that's cruel!!!
  17. With the Ravens and the Stealers you have 2 well run and well coached teams. They are reloading this year but should be no fun for anybody to play next year. I do think the Steelers may need another year or 2 reloading to get back to their previous level of performance. They might onl;y be a .500 team next year. If the Ravens don't find a runner they will be a .500 team. Ozzie will stop the bleeding. There is a lot of talent on the Browns and Bengals. who knows, by next year they could hit stride and the AFC North might be the baddest division in the NFL.
  18. Parity at it's best.
  19. They have some damned good receiving threats. This helps although McClown seems to be on fire. This is a very tuff opponent for the Ravens.
  20. Nobody in the AFC North. This division stinks...then again, it looks like only a small few teams in the NFL want to win.
  21. Nice work Rob!
  22. They had a great opportunity to seal up the Division. They faced an obviously struggling Ravens team, with a great chance to take care of business and go to 7 wins. Instead they played worse than the Ravens...which is pretty bad. And Dalton? All he has is the jump ball. They will never go anywhere in the playoffs with him at QB. Marvin is not looking too sharp either.
  23. All I know is this is rock bottom. They can't get worse. rm52....I'm with you on the coaching. There is too much talent on this team to perform so poorly. Pees seems to be getting his end together.
  24. Joe had another bad game. He hasn't been playing well. He's good when he has a running game and a line that protects. Then he can do his thing and make game changing plays.
