Do you mean grown men like this?

It was a 12 game regular season schedule back then. 16 now. That is not a quarter. Your math is off. The 1970 Baltimore Colts played 17 games including the Super Bowl. Your math got even weaker. If the league keeps expanding, then one day you'll be able to say the same about the Steelers not having to play as many games as future teams will be playing. 18 game regular season is coming soon. It was the Baltimore Colts that won them. You can try any technicality that you want, but you can't change the reality. The Indianapolis Colts did not exist then and did not win them. If that doesn't sink in, try this: If Terry Bradshaw sells you his Super Bowl ring and it is legally yours...does that mean you were a member of that team, playing QB and won that game?

Dislocated hip...will miss at least the opener... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Damn! We got to hope for the best. We have to wait until 5.

I'm not taking the bait. I'm not in denial. I lived long enough to watch and follow both franchises. 1st row, upper deck at Memorial stadium for the Colts and section 115 at M&T Bank stadium for the Ravens. We've had 2 NFL franchises here in Baltimore and I followed the Baltimore Colts (3 Championships) and now the Baltimore Ravens (2 Championships). That's 5 NFL Championships those 2 franchises brought to Baltimore and the fans. Yes...it's 2 different teams but it all happened in Baltimore.

Ravens Insider: Harbaugh says Bernard Pierce clearly bigger and faster
vmax replied to ExtremeRavens's topic in News Feeds
I can wait to see him on the field in the regular season. The Ravens will have a damn good running game. Especially because teams can not load up the box without getting burned bad. Take a good look at "The Trio".... -
Either Shannahan does not care or the team doesn't listen to him.
-
There was no AFL when the Baltimore Colts won the NFL Championship in '58 and '59 so you're argument doesn't fly here.

Visanthe Shiancoe a spectator at Ravens’ Friday practice
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Try as I might, I cannot get excited about this. I'd rather go young...like Furstenberg...remember he had no legit QB's throwing to him last year.... -
and he put the Tomlin and the team in it and drove them out to the dump and deposited them.

On this who's the leader thing.... The media keeps trying to drop that cloak on Joe. Joe is a huge leader and camp reports say this is a much more comfortable, demanding and aggressive Joe this year. And more confident. The whole team is confident, relaxed damn glad that he's their QB. He's got swagger. The truth is: Joe is The Face of this Franchise. That doesn't necessarily mean he's "The Leader". As you can see Suggs is a huge leader. There's a guy that you definitely want in your corner. The team will listen to and rally around him. Ray Rice is a leader. Torry Smith is an emerging leader. All 4 are "Faces of the Franchise". Quietly...behind the scenes, Dummervil is leading by example.

Baltimore does have 5 NFL Championships. That's all the Super Bowl is....an NFL Championship game.

Sorry. I had to turn it off. Can't stomach that sub moron.

"Here's a few links to get some news...Day 2

He couldn't finish practice today. Here's a video of it. You see him lumbering around...dogging it. Reminded me of kids in youth league. Watch this and it will put to rest any questioning of Harbaugh not starting him last year. There was no dog house. If you can't perform in practice than you can't play. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/726-Training-Camp-Practice-Highlights/f4e67550-4622-47a8-8e1a-f4c8557bc452

Things are looking up! I think it's safe to say that we'll be seeing more of this this year...
-
Coming up next week! Usually I don't watch the induction ceremony and speeches but this year I'll be all over it. Our first Raven into the Hall of Fame. Remember '96? "We've come a long way Baby!" I was talking to a fan and he said JO had a 7 year stretch where he didn't give up a sack. Is that true? Oh...he has 2 career receptions for 2 TD's.
-
It's not looking good for McClain, but Smith and Brown will do. You never know...they may get Hall in there too.
-
He's getting more than Joe with 1/9th the playoff wins.
-
I'm sure she'll make a fine wife for some fortunate young man.

I like it.... Now the trip to Gettysburg makes sense.

"The bar that this team has set in "The Harbaugh Era" is to make the playoffs and win at least 1 playoff game I expect that. I think that is realistic. That means I'm a spoiled Ravens fan....and in Fan Heaven to be following such a successful team and organization. Fan Heaven. I love this roster. I think it is in the top 3 rosters in the AFC with the potential to be the best "IF" they stay healthy and develop as the season wears on. There is not a team on the schedule that the Ravens have "no shot" of defeating. Certainly they will lose some games. Keep this in mind that the 16 game road to these goals is: 1. Win the divisional games. Most important. 2. Win the AFC Conference games. 2nd most important. 3. Defeat the playoff caliber teams. If they do the above, then this years very tuff and competitive schedule will make these 2013 Ravens serious SB contenders.
