  1. I nominate RavenMad for the Highly Prestigeous Position of ER Board Capologist.
  2. Yea... Grubbs! Osemele is wearing his ring. As for Cory Redding....when he bad mouthed Ray it was just sour grapes. Don't feel sorry for him at all and I liked him when he played here.
  3. Phil Dawson? He's the only one who seems to do anything....
  4. You know....Bart Scott might have got a ring if he would have returned Ozzie's phone call while Rex was in the driveway.
  5. Well...when you have a group of people giving judgemental opinions, the odds are great that one person is dead wrong.
  6. Harbaugh is one hell of a leader and HC.
  7. I don't feel bad for Jarred Gaither.
  8. Somebody in the media started this by asking Steve about a statue of Ray. He said something like "certainly in the next year or two"....it's not like they just came out with a planned announcement so soon. Here's the statue I want...
  9. You have to read this! That's just the beginning...it gets even heavier.
  10. $$$$$ Got to load up! Give these to her for Valentines day. I guarantee she'll love it!
  11. The winner of the 2012 Ravens Mr Congeniality award is.... Bobby Williams!!! I don't know what he did this year, but you don't have to win or be great at anything to be Mr Congeniality. You just have to run around and be nice and helpfull to everybody. Everytime I saw Bobby on the sidelines he was being positive and supportive. He was flipping out happy when the final whistle blew. He tried to lift Joe up and carry him off the field....and I'm glad I'm not the man who had to take that trophy out of his hands.
  12. Jarrett Johnson. He missed out by a year. Kelly Gregg too. He would have been better than Kemo and Cody plugging the middle. Derrick Mason??? He never could have made his career last this long. He just ran out of time. Zibby and Nakamura....
  13. I have no proof or evidence....just call it a gut feeling...and here's why... From the Ravens side: March 12th this team has to be under the Cap. If they roll into this day with Joe counting $18-20 million of that Cap, then key players like Reed, Krueger, Leach and Ellerbe will have to go. Maybe Boldin, Burke and Jones too. The Ravens do not want to lose all of them. That's a lot of leverage and pressure Joe and his agent have on the Ravens. It's not Joe's fault that the Ravens are Cap strapped. The Ravens have to cave in quickly. Oh...another plus....the Ravens won't offer him an insulting deal. Their history of paying their key players very good money is excellent. The offer that they present will be very good. From Joe's side: He's not Drew Brees the businessman. He's not going to watch all of his buddies go because he can't make up his mind by training camp. He knows the situation and how important it is to the team for him to sign now. He's not "Me over Everybody" Peyton Manning. He's more like Tom Brady the businessman who took less for the team and still got filthy rich. Well.........in Tom's case maybe it wasn't enough money for him, so he went out and married a woman who brings in more money than him. He took that commitment for the team too. The Players respect how much he is suffering for them. The way Joe has carried himself this past year and how he says nonchalantly that he'll be a Ravens tells me he knows better than everybody this is not going to be hard to get done. Remember, this is the guy who, with his rookie signing bonus, bought his mother a lawn mower. That's it. Serious. The man is frugal. "vmax. You can't be saying stuff like that about me!"
  14. We'll be going out in 30 days or less...sometime after the 22nd I'll know.
  15. Snyder doesn't get it. Goodell and the NFL Owners don't get it.
  16. That's different. I worry about that too from the leg injury. Once Boulware hurt his leg he was never the same after that. Boulware's whole game was his first step burst. Once he lost that, he was average and not worth the money. Suggs needs this off season to heal and get in playing shape. We won't know ...the Ravens won't know untill they are a quarter of the way into the season.
  17. The key phrase is "has led some to wonder"....meaning... "nobody but this writer trying to get some hits on his rehashed article."
  18. If the Lorax can speak for the trees, then crav is the voice of Everyman.
  19. The football gods are smiling on him. The Ravens will be counting on Courtney to take it to the next level this year. How about a shout out for Arthur Jones who quietly had a solid post season.
  20. A good friend of mine was there and he brought me back a program. He sat next to Lenny Moore! He said for the final 1:45 of the game that he held his sons hand on one side of him and Lenny held his other hand. He could not stop telling me what a great person Lenny is at age 79. As a thank you, he's going to take Lenny out to dinner with me and a few friends. Just awesome. Oh...he walked to the game at the stadium with Steve Young! They just happened to be on the same street at the same time and had a half mile to walk. He said Steve was friendly, talkative and just a regular guy. He's got photos of all of this. How lucky is that for a Super Bowl experience!?
  21. This came out fast. It's the Suns book on the Ravens season. I haven't seen it but I want it. You can order it here... http://www.kcisports.com/
