This years schedule was very tuff...and I loved it. If all you can beat are the .500 or sub .500 teams then you will not do shit in the playoffs. Even making the playoffs with a schedule like that is hollow. Play the good teams...win most of them and you are playoff ready. The Ravens played most of this season with 1 hand tied behind their back. To be where they are at this point in the season is a tribute to their depth, overall talent, team chemistry and leadership and good coaching. Most teams can't overcome the injury adversity that the Ravens faced.

This will make 3 years in a row that the Ravens play Houston...it doesn't make sense. Lot of big games at home. They better get some linebackers to stop Peterson and some pass rushers for Brady, Manning, and Rodgers.

The officiating was really bad today. It really looked like they were giving make up calls too. I guess this isn't penalty worthy...

45 carries for 224 yards and 5 ypc. Joe was hot...25 of 36 for a whopping 8.6 ypc. 2 TD's and 114 rating. Most importantly they went 11 for 18 on 3rd down. That was the game there. Nice balance. The players made plays....they knew they had too. Friggn'n Torry Smith. Pierce looked nice didn't he? Oher should have been sat down and McKinnie put it after his last string of penalties...his head was somewhere else. I hope Boldin's injury isn't too serious...he had a great game. Pressure was the difference. If they gave Eli one second more like they gave his brother then he would have put 30 up on them. Giant receivers were blowing by Brown...we had nobody who could run with them downfield but Eli didn't have enought time. The Giants were 2 for 10 on 3rd down and that tells the story. Punt! The "Oh Gee Men" only had the ball for 20 minutes. The Ravens D kept getting off the field saying "Here's the ball Joe!"

It looked to me like Reed hit him with his sholder but I don't have the tv closeup. I think they need to play Joe and the offense for at least 3 quarters IMO. For the reason that you say cleetz....for them and Caldwell to keep getting more experience together and to try and build on what they accomplished today so they can hit the playoffs on a mini roll.

Midway through the 3rd quarter you could see the Giants D quit. They were gassed and beat up. They were on the field for almost 40 minutes! That's what winning time of possesion gets you....and the no huddle. What was great is you could see the pride in this Ravens team. They hit hard and were focused. As the first half ended, unlike last week the crowd cheered their ass off for the offense walking to the tunnel. Then as Taylor was taking knees at the end of the game, they showed Joe standing on the sidelines on the Jumbotron and posted his stats. The crowd went overboard to let him know...sniff..."We love you Joe!"

I'd rest beverybody against the Bengals who needs it so they can be healthy in the playoffs.
