  1. Yea...Chen was great. It really makes me wonder how well they could do this season if they had 2 more quality starters. At least that keeps you in the game with a chance to win like last night. Offensively it's been a nightmare how many men they leave on base. Defensively I just have to shake my head...how do you get to the big league level and not be able to field a ball? 43 and 37...on schedule to finish above .500. I can't ask for more with this current roster.

    Scary

I don't know what to say. It's 2012 and Wiedemers predictions haven't happened yet. Hopefully he's just trying to sell his book. Actually this guy is predicting the end of the world. And why is this interview getting pulled by online networks? Who's saying to bury this fast?
  3. I wonder when Harley Davidson will sue this guy for stealing parts of their logo. He and his lawyers are not sincere. They are gold diggers. And nobody watches those films to see the logo.
  4. The Steelers can't sell out...
  5. They made Cleveland look like a very strong and powerfull team. Friday night I felt like the O's were going to come back and win...the rest of the games I had the tv on while I did other things because the sloppy fielding, the decline of the pitching staff, the absence of hitting and the 587 players left stranded on base hurt my eyes. The need a 3rd baseman, first basemen, left fielder and 2 solid starting pitchers to get into the playoffs.
  6. You mean like Browns and Eagles fans? Only 18 teams have won a Super Bowl. That means 14 franchises haven't won one.
  7. Here's more on blackouts and teams unable to sell out....from Claytons mailbag... 85% would still leave the Potomac Drainage Basin Indigenous Persons about a 1,000 tickets short.
  8. He's great trolling material...
  9. Yea papa...start looking up. You're missing out on way too much good stuff. "...so I'm getting a lawer because the Army and the NFL wouldn't take me..."
  10. I had to work today. Trees and power lines down everywhere...worst I've seen in a long time. Basicly every traffic light in Northern Virginia and Montgomey county was out. All the stores closed because the credit card machines are down. That didn't stopp everybody from comming out and driving around with nowhere to go. No lights = huge traffic jambs. There was 1 gas station open and the line to get on the lot was a half mile long. 3 times I had to drive under sagging power lines accross the road, just barely clearing the roof of my truck. Then it was limb and tree dodging on most roads. Catonsville seems to have come out of it ok...we have power. I imagine this is a huge crisis for many. What can they do with no tv or internet!...no shopping?!...Nowhere to go.... "Dammit!!! It's got to come on or we'll have to talk to each other!" My son likes it when stuff like this happens. He says it forces people to hang out and talk with their neighbors. I saw that all day...that's a good thing.
  11. They sign Williams and now they are a contender. Right. They were 6-10. Their defense was ranked 26. Offense: 14. Fitzpatrick is a good QB who needs help. They should be better this year but so is everybody else.
  12. Pay to keep the players that they draft and develop because they do such a great job at drafting and developing players. One of the great joys for me as a Ravens fan has been to watch great incredilbe players. Getting them is a front office success. It also comes with a price. JO, Ray Lewis, Ray Rice, Jamal, McAlister, Boulware, Ed Reed, Sharpe, Woodson, Stover, Suggs, Ngata to name a few. The top 100 NFL player list, voted on by the players, has 5 Ravens in the top 22 players! To get a perspective on what an incredible accomplishment that is, begin by being aware that there are 1,692 players. That's 5 players in the top 1.3% It comes with a price. Those 5 elevate those around them to play at their highest level....it shows on gameday. Pay Them. I don't want the Browns roster. Or the Eagles or Mexico's Team...
  13. Great idea. Camp is a month away so the week before is a good time to get set up to participate in this.
  14. Cleveland got healthy. They are not a good hitting team. Looks like the O's pitching needs to get healthy too.
  15. Here's another perspective from Eisenberg....
  16. If Michael says it, then it must be true. I would like to see a pissed off Michael Oher on the field this year.
  17. Cleveland is in town. The bats should get healthy now.
  18. Great Idea! Expand.....Everywhere! Water down the talent pool because Europeans won't know that they are watching JV NFL football. Make millionaires out of guys who couldn't win a spot on todays rosters. We're stupid. We'll pay crazy money to watch guys who can't throw, catch, run, block or tackle.
  19. I'm ok with that but I hate fantasy football. At the stadium between plays or during tv timeouts I look at the video board to see the scores from around the league. I want to know. They show you a score for a game and then start running the games fantasy stats...like all of us care!..like I really want to know that Joe Blow ran for 37 yards in the 1st half.....by the time the game continues, you can only get 2 or 3 scores because the fantasy stats took up all the time! It's impossible to know what's going on around the league when you're locked in the stadium. I've got internet on my phone...guess I'll have to use that.
  20. Wow...that is really bad. Disposeable income in America is drying up. The average Joe is saying "No Mas." Perhaps the league has gone 'way too far' in their price gouging and fans all over are surrendering to "I can't afford this so I'll stay home and watch it on tv." The league is countering the sit and watch at home mindset in some places like Nashville, where they are building the leagues largest outdoor TV screen...$26.5 million. They want you off the couch and in their place. Like...how can you say this is really great entertainment when the stadium is empty?
  21. I agree with that. Good homework.
  22. Another NFL franchise having trouble filling their stadium. We have a trend going on here folks. The fans, by their absence, are saying "this costs too much". The owners are saying "Uh...uh...here! We'll stop ripping you off on parking and concessions." That's a start.
  23. I probably won't be around, but I'd like to be around long enough to see some of the solutions and corrective actions outlined, agreed upon and implemented. My kids will be around....and everybody's kids. We owe them the opportunity to live in the best world possible. I believe everybody wants that. Global warming is just one of many world issues that we need to be taking agressive action on now. The sooner we do, then the lesser the consequences later. For me, It's good to discuss stuff like this to raise awareness. Right now, as I see it, The Goverment and Wall street know this is comming but they won't admit to it for fear of collapsing the current economy. I have no problem with that as long as they quietly begin to move the money and resources into the solution. In the end that will grow the economy here and world wide. We can have a better, healthier planet and world future. Everybody can win.
  24. Hidden Treasure???? It's US! THE FANS!!!!
  25. It better be. After TJ. Then Evans...having Jones in the playoffs scares me. Like a curse.
