I'll play this game although it's way too early for predictions and any chance of being right. Teams you think will be tuff in 2012 won't be (like Eagles last year) and teams that you look at as wins, end up being very good. Of course injuries change everything too. Ok...here we go... Get used to the Bengal hype...other than playing the Ravens and Steelers, their first 7 games are a cupcake. They should be looking strong up to that point. The media doesn't realize they can't beat teams with winning records. They could lose 7 out of their last 9 games. Another 9-7 year. I can see 8-8 for the Steelers. Tomlinson will begin to look like less of a genius now that the team he inherited is dwindling away. 4-12 for the Brownies. Other than Indianopolis I don't know who they can beat. 10-6 Ravens. That's 2 less wins which is a lot considering the talent, depth and experience on this team. I love the Ravens schedule. It's hard. They are used to hard. That's how you get in playoff shape. I can see the Ravens and Bengals making the playoffs.

We forget that many FA's are there for a role or depth and they are servicable and a part of helping the team win. The Ravens squeeze a year or two more out of these experienced, proven players careers while they are drafting and developing players to step into their roles. Art and Ozzie's motto on signing free agents is to "sign free agents selectively"....meaning to fill a need...not to look to free agency to build the core of the team.

That's bold talk. If the pass rush drops off this year then they will have to cover longer.

We all knew the Ravens were tight against the Cap. Ozzie will get one more player...maybe 2 by the end of the second week of camp. They will make the money 'be there' if they think it will fill a need and make the team better.

They will be together...when it counts...in camp. This is not McKinnies first rodeo. He knows the position and offense. So does Birk. I'd rather they show up day 1 at training camp 100% healthy and in shape. With their knowledge and experience they are capable of playing a game...now. Let the rookies and inexperienced players...the projects...players in development get the most reps while they can. They may have to start or fill in at some point in the season.

Sounds like he's completely on schedule to come into camp in his best shape in years.

Roberts is one great story...he's got that padded helmit and some kind of mouth piece to protect him. Hammel was spectacular and today Chen is following it up...2-0 O's heading into the 7th. This is a close game...whose pitching will prevail? It is so nice to see solid pitching. Football without defense is one sloppy product and so is baseball without good pitching.

Yea...I don't want one of somebody who'll be gone soon. Jones has brought some kind of fearless attitude and passion to this team.
