Jamison Hensley • TweetShift BOT — Today at 5:06 PM Ravens’ workouts on Monday: RB Le’Veon Bell RB Devonta Freeman RB Elijah Holyfield DT Reginald McKenzie QB Kenji Baha

I can see Lamar picking up the slack in the run game. Unfortunate that he has to do that but he wants to win so bad that he will do whatever it takes.
-
I can see that. Where would the Ravens be if they had not acquired Lamar? Think about it. They probably wouldn't have made the playoffs 3 years straight.
-
Move on to what? Mitchel, Case, Banks, Boller, Redman, Wright, Blake, ....how many years of miserable offensive play do you want to sit through? Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Ravens WR Marquise Brown on Lamar Jackson: "He's dialed in. He's locked in on everything right now." Why is that? Brown: "He wants to win. Year after year, you end the season and go 'what can I get better at?' You can tell he took those steps to take it to the next level."” This is the kind of player teams and their fans long and yearn to have on their roster. What's wrong with us?

Devonta Freeman. None of these are good options. wasted money. Wasted roster space. It's like driving a car with a flat tire. I hope they find a young, hungry rookie who was cut.

Damn it feels good to post a game thread. It's been a long time in between. Ravens in Vegas on the 1st MNF Game of this season. There's some respect there. Some Ravens love or is it Raiders love or both? Let's start with the most accurate game prediction in all of recorded history. Ravens win percentage 57.1%. After tons of preseason talk and observations, I must admit that I have no idea what to expect from this Ravens offense. Basically the starters have not played together through camp and the preseason. Will they come out throwing and light it up through the air? It's possible. Nobody saw an opening day 5TD passing performance from Lamar coming in 2019. Word is that he's looked sharp in practice. He should have Watkins, Brown, Andrews, Proche and Duverney to throw to. Plus a RB or 2. They'll throw if that's their emphasis for improvement this year. Will they just ground and pound until the unit gets their roles and assignments down? Higher probability of this. Can the O line protect Lamar? I have serious doubts here. Will they be able to road grade? Probably. They definitely have the size but they haven't played together yet. The good news is that last year the Raiders defense couldn't stop anybody. They just might get run over by Lamar and Co. The Raiders have a high scoring offense that out dueled KC last year. The Ravens will counter with a nasty, stingy defense and a high scoring offense. Count on Harbaugh having this team very prepared and dialed in. Best guess? The Ravens O shakes the rust off this game and the D makes the win possible. If this opening day plays the same as most Ravens opening days, then the Ravens will romp to victory. "We're so scared." "We got game too!" Scenes from Yesteryear.... Ravens set team mark for points in 55-20 rout of Raiders Shitttt!!!A New Season. 2021. Life is Good!

like everybody, I'm worried about how much Lamar runs and the impact that will have on his heath. Everybody's concerned about that. Will he last as long as Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees? I doubt it. I think the Ravens organization is very aware of how fragile this situation is and that is why they got so many receivers and coaches and that they are "all in" on taking the passing attack to the next level. I think it will improve this year and get better as they acquire an O line that can pass protect. Because of all the injuries and new line, I think it will take 4-5 games, maybe more to develop. My guess is that the first quarter of the season we will see them running at the same pace as last year. Let's give them a chance before we start pounding the crap out of them. Here's the "Big IF".... This is what I love about this situation. Look at how much we have to look forward to. The ceiling hasn't been hit yet. If it can be hit. I think it can. Ravens opponents will do everything they can to prevent that from happening. Somethings got to give. 17 contested games will reveal the results.

It was a solid and important Maryland victory over a very good West Virginia team whom they haven't defeated since 2013. Because of the quality of their opponent, this victory is important as far as Bowl eligibility goes. This gives them something to build upon this season. It's been a long time but finally Maryland has a legit QB. Tui and the passing game looked good. I like the receivers. ThereThe running game has work to do yet give West Virginia credit, their defense is stout. This Maryland team looks to be deeper and more talented. The defense impressed me. 2 interceptions, 2 fumbles, 3 sacks and held WV to 6-14 on 3rd down.

Or stay in the pocket and get Burrowed.
-
Can somebody put up a "Buy or Sell" today? If not, then I'll get to it this afternoon.
-
Shit we were saying that about Lamar when he was drafted. Everyone worried about how long he would last and we still do today. Lamar looks to throw first. He has good pocket awareness, presence, movability and escape ability. The Ravens got Watkins, drifted Bateman and Wallace...and Brown....all the TE's and now trying to work the RB's in too...so they could have a solid passing attack. Everybody wants that. Nobody wants to see Lamar get hurt like Vick or RG3. Do you want a list of NFL QB's who went down in the pocket the last 2 years? It's not safe there either. It's not safe behind the Ravens O line. Until then, "Lamar will have to be Lamar" because all he wants to do is win.

I'm buying. whether Ty'son Is RB1 or RB2. I think the run game will remain a run by committee scheme like last year. By that I mean Gus will be the finisher and spark plug but he may not carry the ball so much more like many think. It's a 17 game season and the Ravens have to keep the RB's legs strong for the post season. For that reason look for them to add a runner during the next month. Lamar will remain the lynch pin and key runner.

Buy or Sell for Friday: Williams gets over 800 yards rushing and * TD's this year.
-
Ok...so you are selling. I'm going to buy even though it's way too early to tell because of what I heard in camp and saw this preseason. I think he gets top 5 discussion as the season progresses. I have another "Buy or Sell" for tomorrow.
-
They were tight against the CAP. With Covid, injuries...they need some wiggle room. That's why so many WR's on PS. Verity on PS.
-
i found it on CBS. I'll buy that Queen gets into the top 5 for discussion of DPOTY. He's have incredible competition to overcome in Garrett, Donaldson, Watt, Maybe Bosa
-
Buy or Sell: Patrick Queen throws his hat in the ring and becomes a part of the DPTOY conversation this year. He's was blur, a lightning bolt on the field this pre season.
-
-
Bateman and Boykin on IR. Will miss the 1st 3 weeks at least.
-
Yea...Belechek got him....he likes Ravens
-
My Take: I think he'll remain in their plans down the road. I think they trust him to remain loyal and know they will bring him back when openings come. Until then, he can rest his weary bones.
