It's a Mystery of the Universe. Or In the Ravens playbook you are not allowed to hit a receiver in stride. Verbotten. Also the offense doesn't get enough rest at halftime. They need to stay off the field for the entire 3rd quarter so they can make it through the 4th. They did an excellent job at that. But...Rome wasn't built in a day. One step at a time! The offense has improved. The receivers now run 7-8 yards on 3rd and 7 instead of the required 4 in Billicks playbook. The "hang the RB out in the flat" play is gone too. Look...play it safe...you don't want anything bad to happen do you!?! Getting greedy, playing to win the game, going for the throat...that's all dangerous stuff!
  3. Maybe...but you'd think he learned from his Bufallo experience.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/110304 I'm beginning to feel like a sucker....that's why I stopped going to MLB games.
  5. Well...he's going to get a pay cut wether he likes it or not because he won't get that kind of money in free agency.
  6. That fight will never happen. Slobbin is a chicken.
  7. He knocked out his opponent in 49 seconds in his pro debut. He uses boxing to train.
  8. FYI...this is one of the biggest tax increases in the history of our country.
  9. Good news. It's not the long term contract but Ngata signed the tender today and said he wants to stay here...
  10. dc...you might be missing the point. The State has been raiding the Transportation fund for years to balance the budget. The money was there...has been there for the roads, but it was spent by the State to balance their budgets. So every year the counties proposed road work has been cut drastically because it was "stolen" for other stuff. So work was not done...roads got worse (of course) and now it's at the breaking point when it never had to get there. That's why a "firewall" is being proposed. Why are there potholes? I got a big problem with the people managing our money. Well..it's not managing, it's mis-managing. Every responsible person knows 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' does not work...these fools don't. Now we got to bail them out.
  11. I'm from the "I'll believe it when I see it" side on this. It doesn't look like a simple quick fix. We've talked about every short comming from last year. The line failed due to the re shuffling of players so the run blocking and running game was not good...which hurt the passing game. The receivers are too slow...no field stretching/play making WR. Joe doesn't read the field well...his delivery is too slow and the handcuffs are on him. It's all Cams fault...hang him... Throw some at the D too...3 and outs are rare. 3rd down is a problem for both units. It's a shame fans can't be satisfied with one good quarter of offense a game....
  12. The various legislaters, county execs ect have raided the Transportation fund so much that it's not there. They need more money so their brilliant idea is to add 10 cents to the 23.5 cent a gallon state tax. It's always an emergency with these dolts...rob Peter to pay Paul and then.."Hey! There's nobody/no place to rob anymore! Wait!....The citizens of our State! Make them pay for our ineffiency."
  13. Well...there's a snowballs chance in Hell they can gag us...

    Scary as shit

I don't think legalizing it will make much of a dip in crime. They still have to come up with the money to buy it. Since a life is worth about $30 to these people, I don't see much of a change in the murder rate. Theft would continue on the scale that it is because these people are unemployable and need money every day. The drug gangs and pushers would disapper some but many would move on to something else...like car theft, making you pay to walk to your house, prostitution ect. They are not giving up their guns and lifestyle just because we make drugs legal. Yea...which ever way it goes (legal/illegal)...if they don't want help or want to stop (many don't), then nothing can stop them. Allowing them to kill themselves or throw their lives down the toilet doesn't work because there is always another generation in line to fill their shoes. The war on drugs is a huge cost and tactical situation that's failed. It will be the same with it being legal. Welfare, housing, food stamps, abandonded children and families will keep those govermental costs around the same as the enforcement costs....and crime will go on.

    Scary as shit

That picture of the young girl hit home the most because I have a 15 yr old daughter. These are human beings reduced to the level of an animal. They are somebody's child...they once were no different than you and I. It doesn't look to me that they want to be like that. They can't stop. They have no hope. Wether they are conscous of it or not, the way they look says "I am suffering and I need help." It's insane behavior. That's why we have the word insanity...to explain what can't be explained using reason. People cannot comprend how and why people would do this to themselves. They are sick and need help...more than jail can offer. Legalizing drugs is just a death sentence for people like this. They won't stop until they drop dead because of the easy access and cost. At least jail get's them off the street and the drugs out of their system and momentarily allows them to get their free will and self back. Yes...many go right back to drug use as soon as they hit the streets. Insane. Legalize it and we'll get like the China at the turn of the century (1800-1900...opium). A large population of useless people strung out on drugs. No bread winners...homeless children...and our nations welfare costs will skyrocket. Put more money into intervention and drug treatment.
  17. Before and after drug addict photos... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41787410/?gt1=43001
  18. The biggest news from the combine is this labor deal will not get done despite the current mediation. From Peter King...
  19. Sorry...Gooden does not have a mania to get to the ball...he shouldn't be on the team. Timid...gets pushed around...rarely meets the runner in the hole.
  20. According to Michael Lombardi...and "Martian Man" Clayton... Another reason why Flacco holds onto the ball too long.
  21. Oh yea...I knew it but I'm not interested in it.
  22. Basicly he's said the chains are off...it's Joe's offense...the playbook is open...."Let'r Rip!"
  23. Harbaugh likes him... I'd like to see him back at the right price if they can't get a power runner in the draft.
  24. "Hey! He stole that idea from us! It's my favorite ExtremeRavens Gameday ritual."
