  1. 7-0 Pats... and the Falcons???? They look like a 2nd tier team. Too much hype on those guys.
  2. Correction! ...it's Batman and his Bitch.
  3. While I'm preparing all kinds of football food for today I thought I'd open a thread for todays games since the Ravens are not playing. I'm particulary interested in the AFC North games of course. Pittsburgh/Atlanta is at 1pm along with the Bengals/Pats so there will be a lot of channel switching back and forth on my new big screen TV... ... Maybe my son can figure out how to get 2 screens going. Both should be good games. The face of the Stealer Franchize won't be starting... "Hey! I only take my clothes off in bars!" The chemistry in their locker room is changing... While the fan base remains the same... Go Falcons! After the way the Ravens smashed the Pats in the playoffs, I'm not too optimistic about them being able to handle the Bengals....but I'll be a Pats fan today... It looks like the 4pm game will be Packers/Eagles...got to watch Rodgers. They look like the best team in the NFC. Then we close out the day with some good comedy courtesy of the over hyped NFC Least.....the Potomac Drainage Basin Indigenous Persons vs Mexico's team....a real laugher.

    Right On

Fans can put an end to this shit by booing them...

    Jets D

Here's Ray Lewis's take on the offense's abilities...
  6. I can't disclose that. I would be telling you things they are not wanting you to know.

    Jets D

They have no weakness on D. Very solid up the middle. Great vs the run and we know about the corners. The good news is the Ravens have a big, tough and nasty O. You can't intimidate them. They won't get slapped around. They might even win the physical battle. There's a ton of pride and confidence on that Ravens O. Smarts too. "Expect a snot knocker.'
  8. Personally I like the GameDay scent over Swagger. I catch myself 4-5 times a day looking around to make sure nobody is watching me, then I lift my arm, fan the subtle GameDay aroma towards my distended nostrals and tilt my head back to experience that heavenly bouquet. A few long, slow deep breaths and I'm good for a 2-3 hours. I find it more refreshing and cleansing than Yoga breathing. I can't believe nobody got the Saturn connection....
  9. Bottom Line......I liked the part about Rex is writting checks that his players might not be able to cash.
  10. Yea...stupid but I loved it. What does that say?
  11. Rex learned it from Billick. It's the same as the 2000 Ravens. On Defense: Use a suffocating defense to keep the score low. Stop the Run. Get after Flacco. Blitz, pressure, hurry to force the turnover. Get off the field on 3rd down (they were great at that last year) to help win the field position and time of possesion battle. On Offense: Run the Football and get 2-3 big plays from Sanchez. Limit his throws to safe ones. Avoid the costly turnover. Punting is good. Finally, Walk around all proud and cocky like "We're really bad Mo-Fo's" because that will really scare and intimidate guys like the Ravens.
  12. Me too. If he were the Ravens HC I'd be squirming in my seat thinking "Shut up!"
  13. What a weak attempt by Rex to try to create some bullitin board material.
  14. It's ok...these guys are never, ever, right."
  15. There has been so much going on with this 2010 Baltimore Ravens team for the last week or so that my head is spinning trying to process everything. Reed to the PUP list, Webb comming back, no RT yet other than Moll, Gaither has no idea when he can play, Wilson gets signed to bolster the secondary and now, out of the blue, TJ gets inked. Oh...I forgot to mention it...we have not seen the Ravens run the ball. Their bread and butter. I hope they remember how to do it. It can be very handy! How good is this team???????? Bottom line: With all the roster moves, I'll be happy as shit if they just win Opening Day. I can only see ahead one game at a time with the brutal opening road schedule: @ Jets, @ Bengals, @ Stealers and @ Patriots in the first 6 weeks! I need 3-4 games to get a good feel on how good this 2010 team is (or if can they live up to their 'POTENTIAL') for 2 reasons: 1. The QB. Will Joe Flacco take the next step and be able to utilize all these offensive weapons? He needs to now.. right away. It all hinges on him. The effectiveness of this offense. If he tanks or is mediocre, the season could be almost done by week 7. No worry because Joe hasn't even given a hint of being that kind of QB. So... I'm kind of freaking out with the other senario: We're about to witness this season something even better than the "Days of Vinny!". A common reference point would be how we felt watching the 2000 D. They were really special and a treat to watch. Now I don't think this will be a NFL record breaking offense, but for offensive starved Ravens fans, it sure will feel like it if this O lives up to it's potential. The fact remains that Joe is going to face some very good defenses out of the gate. 2. The Secondary. The Corner position in particular....the Safeties are solid...good. Palmer and Brady, on a good day, carve up good secondaries. The Ravens catch a break with Sanchez and Dixon/Batch. Are the Ravens Corners, as a unit, any good? I don't know. I feel 10 times better now that they have Wilson. Webb may not be of any help in these crutial opening weeks. So it's up to Washington, Carr, Wilson.... They need a serious pass rush...starting Monday Night. They might have it. I'm very unimpressed with the LB pass coverage skills. Another weakness until they prove otherwise. Still, don't sell the defense short. They have a ton of talent. A ton. They know how to use it to cover any weakness. I think Special Teams will be very good. They are a big part of winning football. Wow...this has the makings of a phenominal year.
  16. lol! This is the most pumped up I've ever heard Preston...
  17. It's a war. Great game...4th quarter comming up. Maryland D has to be gassed.
  18. It's too early in his career for Haughbaugh to put amoung the best. He's good. He's better than Tomlin...that's for sure.
  19. Numbers game with the Haush signing. Mark is a great guy and he made some amazing plays and catches, but Mark just disappeared for too many games in a row. Smith and Reed are not better than him, but Ozzie can't get anything on the market for those 2. So Mark got the axe.
  20. There is now serious experience between the starting 3 receivers. They all can reed any D and attack it. Also...Boldin (ok colin.. ) and Haush run block very well. Now...why did he get released? Age? Health? Lost a step?
