    Joke of the Day

TIPS FOR ALL OCCASIONS Never take a beer to a job interview or ask if they press charges. Always identify people in your yard before shooting at them. Always say "Excuse me" after getting sick in someone else's car. It's considered tacky to take a cooler to church. Even if you're certain that you are included in the will, it's considered tacky to drive a U-Haul to the funeral home. The socially refined never fish coins out of public toilets, especially if other people are around. Always provide an alibi to the police for family members. DINING OUT Remember to leave a generous tip for good service. After all, their mobile home costs just as much as yours. Redneck Etiquette - ENTERTAINING IN YOUR HOME A centerpiece for the table should never be anything prepared by a taxidermist. Do not allow the dog to eat at the table . . . no matter how good his manners are. If your dog falls in love with a guest's leg, have the decency to leave them alone for a few minutes. DATING (Outside the Family) Always offer to bait your date's hook, especially on the first date. Be aggressive. Let her know you are interested: "I've been wanting to go out with you since I read that stuff on the men's bathroom wall two years a go." If a girl's name does not appear regularly on a bathroom wall, water tower, or an overpass, odds are good that the date will end in frustration. Jackson Bend got bottled up and had to jump outside...if not for that he would have beat them all.
  4. Things a Redneck Would Never Say... "I'll take Shakespeare for 1000, Alex" Duct tape won't fix that. Come to think of it, I'll have a Heineken. We don't keep firearms in this house. Has anybody seen the sideburns trimmer? You can't feed that to the dog. No kids in the back of the pick-up, it's not safe. Wrasslin's fake. Honey, did you mail that donation to Greenpeace? We're vegetarians. I'll have grapefruit instead of biscuits and gravy. Give me the small bag of pork rinds. Deer heads detract from the decor. Spitting is such a nasty habit. I just couldn't find a thing at Wal-Mart today. I've got it all on a floppy disk. Little Debbie snack cakes have too many fat grams. Checkmate. She's too old to be wearing a bikini. Hey, here's an episode of "Hee Haw" that we haven't seen. Be sure to bring my salad dressing on the side. Those shorts ought to be a little longer, Darla.

OK...I've got TVG and have been watchiung for the last hour. SHAME ON ALL THE LOCAL TV NETWORKS FOR NOT COVERING THIS WHOLE DAY LIVE! I guess informercials are more important. WBAL is finally showing the races...2:30...good infield coverage BAL...as long as Ben Rthsslxxssbrrrgrrr is not there drinking our kids are safe. They should make it a Baltimore/Maryland Day...show live updates of the lacrosse games (MD, Hopkins, Loyola ect) between races...show some entertainment from the Infield...live bands, that kind of stuff. DO NOT SHOW ONE SELF PROMOTING, PREEMING, POLITICIANS FACE! Well...maybe show the whole City Council holding donation cans in front of a banner that says "We can't manage the money and resources you gave us. Please donate more." ..and while I'm at it...slots has passed right? Why not level Pimlico...build a state of the art casino and racetrack at the Innner Harbor and keep the Preakness for the next 100 years? People will go there...they will not go to Pimlico because of the crime. It's so simple What could be a more obvious, sweeet money making situation? Put a couple of Casino's there and make them foot most of the bill or all of it. That would be chump change to them compaired to what they will reap from the poor downtrodden citizens of MD.

Post Time! I hope they show all the races on TV today. I'm hitting the couch...
  9. [quote name='geo' date='14 May 2010 - 09:21 AM' timestamp='1273846910' post='18357' Sacks is nice. But and this is where someone again is wrong.. We have had the only defense in this league who was in top 3 in both total yards and score the last two seasons. Ask the sack leading team Vikings (48 sacks) if they would not have had our defense.. or the Jets D who btw had the same number of sacks (32) like us. Great point Geo...points allowed is the most important stat....well...next to wins!
  10. Nice one Kevee! Keep digging!
  11. Another clueless writer. The weakest link is at corner...everybody will be targeting them....it would be stupid to try and run. As for Ray...enjoy him because this could be his last year. That's what this writer should have written. 35 is old to be playing MLB in the NFL. The brain says 'Go' and the body says 'No'. Ray won't quit...they will have to cart him off the field Nevertheless...trying to say Ray is the weakest link is one of two things: Stupid or Trying to get noticed. Plus this is from Fox...as they do the NFC games....they know squat about the AFC and just promote the NFC as much as possible. Ray's been so much to this team and Baltimore...let's just enjoy the end of an amazing career. He's definately going to make some big plays this year and is still better than most MLB's.
  12. Interesting that you mentioned Jones...just read this...an article about youth on defense.
  13. papasmurf.. True...Cody's never been a pass rusher. The Ravens will break him in on rushing downs. They'll rotate him so he doesn't wear out over the long haul of the season. But consider this...if it's a pass instead of a run and the Ravens read it right then he and Ngata will provide a ton of beef to push the middle of the pocket. One center and 2 guards will not be enough to stall them. Ngata finally has his chance to use his speed and athleticism to break free for the QB if Cody plows into them from the right angle. We may not see something like this early in the season but like the thread title states..."I like the possibilities." Remember...Goose and Adams were not sack artists but they garnered a lot of attention from the O line as they pushed the middle of the pocket. That will free up somebody on the blitz. I think Redding will be a factor...he'll be rotating in fresh. Why is everybody forgetting about me?"

Is that you crav?! Hey! Isn't that a group of fans from ExtremedRavens????
  16. I'm liking Jackson Bend now that Hurricane Ike has been scratched.
  17. They have him for this year. I actually believe Gaither. He said the foot thing is not a protest. I think he hurt his foot before camp and that's why he reported late to OTA's. Then it showed up in camp. I'm hearing Cousins has had a great off season. He's added more muscle and speed but no weight. He's working out at the complex right now even though players were given the week off. He smells his opportunity and is going for it. This is an excellent O line.
  18. Have a glass of Purple Kool-Aid this morning...
  19. I think we'll all be surprised about how good the pass rush will be this year. Suggs is in rare form and Matteson just said "Terrell is working extremely hard. One of our big emphases has been (improving) pass rushing technique. A lot of probably what has happened with our guys has maybe been me, saying 'we've got to stop the run, stop the run,' putting a lot of emphasis on that and putting Suggs in a position where he's not in a pass rush mode. Our attitude now, in this camp, has been to work a great deal on pass rush and get him more in a position where he can rush the passer." There is tremendous flexability and combinations that the Ravens can field with their defensive front 7. Redding is extremely versitile...he can line up anywhere. Pryce is situational...Gregg's knee is 100%...Cody and Ngata will maul centers and guards...Kruger has bulked up to play DE...Kindel will chase down QB's...this is a monster unit. This will help the DB's...put them in the right schemes and coverages and they will get the job done. They don't have to worry about the run. Ain't happening. The offense plays into this. They could be the highest scoring Ravens offense ever...they will run when they want to and Flacco has too many weapons for a defense to stop...move the chains, put teams in a hole...unleash the hounds. They are Super Bowl caliber...along with 5-6 other teams in the NFL. The 2010 Ravens are in that mix.
  20. This is NOT GOOD. The Bills have nothing to offer the Ravens as far as trading players. Their 1st round pick for next year would be excellent because they will have a poor record while rebuilding...but I doubt they give that up. If Gaither moves then the Ravens are screwed at the tackle position. No depth if injuries happen. It fucks up the whole offense. However...Gaither can pout or whatever...he's under contract...he has to play for the Ravens or his career is done. OK...here's an update on the situation...
  21. Good move for the Raiders. He's robbed them enough....they cut their loss. The only good that can come out of this is if, in the new CBA, there's a rookie CAP or better yet a lowering of what high 1st round picks receive. That kind of money for guys who never played a down in the NFL is wrong. Let them earn it...prove themselves...earn a roster spot. s.
  22. This is ugly as shit...
  23. Williams and Gerard will be seeing a lot of PT at corner during the mini camps and training camp. They've had time to learn the system and now their big chance to make it in the NFL has arrived. Damn it would be great if one of them develops into a solid corner like Webb. They'll be tested by Bouldin, Mason and Stallworth. If they can cover them they can cover anybody. Right now there are only 5 healthy corners on the roster....Foxworth, Carr, Williams, Gerard and Paschal. They may be the "starters going into the season. Think about that! Be hungry! Play your ass off!...
