  1. He's special. I think that line will be lights out next year.
  2. Updatye! Still up in the air....
  3. King's reliable...this is not good.
  4. Willett's saying that he thinks it's 70/30 that Ed will retire from the way Ed sounds. He said Ed was in the locker room for about 20 minutes and didn't talk to the media. He grabbed his stuff and ran. He's Peter Kings take...
  5. You're right dc. Mason did say yesterday that he's healthy and his family is in Baltimore. I think it's the mental grind and all the work he knows he will have to put in to play up to his standards that has him in this frame of mind....that and the huge disappointment in being knocked out of the playoffs.
  6. I'm on the same page as you varaven. Without Revis Rex's D is no better than the Ravens. The Ravens need solid, dependable corners. I really believe it would have been a different story if Webb played. Now I wonder if he can come back just as strong to help out next season. Ray Rice is a Playmaker...so is Flacco if he had receivers (other than Mason). Webb...Foxworth can be. Reed is a playmaker. The lines are solid. This team has a solid core to build around....but they have to get the additional pieces to make this an elite team. You can bet the rest of the AFC and AFC North will improve this off season. Harbaugh and his coaches got all they could out of what they had...amazing they got this far.
  7. I heard this on the radio...Casey Willet reporting from the Palace said Derrick said he's done. I was hoping he'd come back but we all saw this comming...I guess. The Ravens now have 0 wide receivers.
  8. They make them look like they have the #1 D in the NFL. Flacco, Cam and the Ravens O can't successfully attack the 2 Deep Cover 2 D. It's like the Ravens O sees the Colts D and gets one massive brain fart that expresses itself in penalties, dropped passes and turnovers.
  9. Hensley for the Sun writes a good article listing the top 10 questions facing the Ravens this offseason. It has a lot of good fan discussion points including draft needs, receivers, corners, pass rush, the future of existing vets and team depth. An uncapped year could see this team come back vituraly intact. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bal-sp.ravens18jan18,0,3296536.story
  10. Might as well put skirts on the receivers too.
  11. Glad that Mexico's team got knocked out and I wasn't shocked at the Chargers losing. I thought if the Ravens could get by Indy then they'd be in the SB. They just weren't good enough. I'll pull for Rex and the AFC all the way. Once again we saw what a very good D can do to an excellent O in the playoffs and that was refreshing. I don't want to see a league full of Saints/Packers games with no D evident...no competative balance. At least have teams who can put up a fight to stop teams from scoring. There should be 3 phases to the game: offense, defense and special teams....not one.
  12. I thought " WTF is this!?!" Only one way to describe it...It was gay.

    Running Game

The Ravens have a young O line that blocks like a bunch of old men against the smaller faster linemen. None of them held their blocks long enough.
  14. 3 points...that is so sorry I don't know what to say. The Bills put up 30 on them 2 weeks ago... I keep hearing "You play to win the game"....the Ravens offense didn't.
  15. Mason's on the fence too... It would be great to have Mason back as a #2 if the Ravens had a field stretching #1.
  16. 50/50...that's says he'll be back to me but for Ed's sake, if this neck injury sets up the real possibilty for long term disability, then I hope he retires. What a playmaker!
  17. ER: "What are your thoughts on this topic Mike?" Totally agree with him. I hope year 3 (2010) sees Joe and the passing game take that next step.
  18. 4 turnovers. 6 dropped passes. 7 penalties...and these were the killers because they negated a ton of yardage. Parmele's great return would have yielded great field position and a momentum swing. Reeds INT same thing. In a playoff game on the road?! Forget it.
  19. Can't...incredible CAP hit....and is Boldin beginning to break down?
  20. 1. Absolutely "No!"...he made the defensive plays today. Ed may retire due to his injuries. 2. Free Agency 3. Gaither's good but he's hurt. I say they keep Gaither at LT because he cannot play RT. This way you have your 2 best tackles on the field.
  21. We've had this topic every off season since Jackson and Alexander...that's '96 and '97. The receiving position has been weak and especially weak this year. They are so bad that second unit guys have no problem shutting them down. But Joe has got to do better irregardless. 3 points today. No excuse. He has yet to step up and win games when he has to carry the team. He is not matching the high caliber QB's this Ravens team is facing. He is not even making 2-3 big plays a game. He's reading and reacting too slow, telegraphs throws and only looks at part of the field.
  22. Hey...great season...just couldn't go all the way but they made it to the final 8. But 3 friggn'n points....nah....that stinks.
  23. Flacco and this offense cannot attack the Cover 2...they are helpless against it.
