I appreciate this fans work. I don't know where he posts, but thank him from me. Guy has been on my radar since I first saw him on the field. I went from "Who is this guy?" to "Are the Ravens that thin?" to "Hey! He's playing steady and holding his own" to "Hey! You can't intimidate this Guy and he has a ton of heart and desire." Lunch pail player. Does the dirty work. Melvin and Hill seem to have stopped the bleeding some, and if Webby can step it up a little more, then the Ravens have a decent band aid considering the huge amount of players they had to replace.

It's been a hard season to go through for Ravens fans, the players and organization. All the off field stuff really shocked me and put a damper on it. This team and organisation has been under such a huge microscope that it was hard to just get into football without 1 issue after another diverting your attention. Getting to the playoffs was a real struggle...and relief. Eisenberg sums it up.

Terps have no answer for the 3 big TE's that Stanford uses. 1 of them is always open and running behind them is too much for Maryland to defend. 5 plays, 70 yards...TD Stanford. 21-7

I forgot Maryland needs a QB. The defense has to come up big to have a shot of staying in this game....Sack and Stanford punts.

It was an ugly 1st half as nobody could score. Then near the end it looked like Maryland would lose with Turgeon getting a technical foul...but Wells came through, tied it up and forced over time. It went into double over time and Melo took over. 68-66. Maryland is letting the Big Ten know they are not cannon fodder. It's turning out to be a respectable 1st year for Maryland in the Big Ten.

I'm just getting an early seat for this one. Don't know about you but I'm excited. Game starts at 10 on ESPN....let the eye bleeding begin!

No running game...Rthsslxxssbrrgrrrr on his ass...and besides....Brown's only scored 1 TD against the Ravens in 2 games this year. Icy rain and snow Saturday night will wreck all this nice theory and feel snug "Steelers are really scary and unbeatable" crap out.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. I like it. If the Ravens make the playoffs after playing this schedule they will be a very tough out. The rest of the North will have a similar schedule, so next years key is having a great winning percentage in games with the North. Do that and it's playoffs!

I don't like restructuring too many contracts. That's a quick path to Cap Jail and mediocrity. A few is ok, but not for large amounts of money to create Cap. You can't buy a Super Bowl these days. The Ravens are OK because they don't do this.

Right on RavenMad. What the Ravens need, and must have right now, is for this line...with Hurst... to take up it another level and play like the 2012 unit. For 4 games...Oher and McKinnie played great. and Birk made all the right calls and adjustments. Does this 2014 group have it?

50-50 Tampa, the Jets and the Browns found ways to beat the Steelers. They are not the nasty Steelers of old. Of this 50-50, I'm leaning towards the Ravens. The Ravens will go as far as this offensive line takes them. That's the game right there. I'm not worried about the D. One other thing: Kubiaks offense is very predictable for defenses. He has to change things up. He can't work the 2 TE's like he wants to and that is one cornerstone. They have to block and they can't get open or be the same weapons like they could be if Pita was healthy. He can't try to run when defenses are run blitzing or blitzing up the middle. It doesn't work. So then the D knows he's going to try screens and roll out to the flat...and they are ready. He has to come out differently calling the plays because the heat will be coming all game....because that's how you stop Joe. Don't give Joe time and have tons of guys in his face. I think Kubiak and the coaching staff make the adjustment so I like the Ravens chances.
