  1. Not good news but expected. Welker is obviously a key player. He almost can't be covered and moves the chains. Wilfork is a must for the Pats if they are to have a chance at stopping the Ravens rushing attack. We'll see...350 lbs on a gimpy ankle...will it help or hurt the Pats?
  2. "Indigenous Persons/Bucs...should be a good one!"
  3. My blood pressure's good.. Doesn't mean I can't be a nervous wreck gameday though! and I am bracing myself because Joe and this team...and coaching staff have the makings, the chemistry and the looks of...dare I say it?....a dynasty in the making. It starts with Bichiotti...every thing he touches turns to gold. He took over, watched and waited...saw the change that needed to be made...fired Billick (a ballsy move)...hired THE RIGHT GUY... Then there's Ozzie and his staff. Yea...if that group can't make a hell of a run then nobody can.
  4. Did Thomas or Johnson develop into hybrid DE's overnight? No. It's a numbers game right now because the Ravens are so deep in their front 7. They want the rotation of Gregg, Bannon, Ngata, Edwards, Johnson, Suggs And Pryce on the line. Jarret Johnson is realy god BTW. They value his presense against the run. At this time it's just a numbers game. Face it...the Ravens vare stocked....
  5. He's not a swing and a miss crav. He's a very talented rookie behind Suggs on the depth chart. At this point in time they cannot sit Suggs or Jarret Johnson...or Trevor Pryce to play Kruger. He's never been a special teams player and he's busting his butt to earn a ST spot...then the Ravens can dress him. He will be a beast..
  6. From the Boston Globe...their take on the Ravens... It's a fair read...calls for a low scoring affair...here's a sample... Bring the Pain.
  7. Hey crav...who does he sound like? Answer: "Talk is cheap" Johnny U.
  8. Oh! You want a tough one? OK. "The Ravens will put up 41 points on them.".. or..."The stands will start to empty out in the 4th quarter..." I'll give you a very accurate prediction...I'll be a ball of nerves the whole game...
  9. "I know Fred Taylor isn't getting 100 yards."
  10. "You know...a Ravens win will have the Pat Nation peeing in their pants."
  11. It doesn't get more flattering than that. Go into Foxboro...beat the Pats and I'm drinking the purple cool aid. BTW: I'm comming around crav the more I look at this matchup. I do think the Ravens will beat the Pats Sunday.
  12. Definately stats don't mean much after 3 games...but these Ravens have been on a tear for the last 17 games...including the playoffs..14-3. Here's some more crazy stats...
  13. Like you, I'm not so sure why the Ravens are favorites amoung the 'experts'. I read your Ravens comparison to the Falcons and I thought I might check the stats. The Falcons are 23rd at rushing the ball and 16th in passing. The Ravens are 5th in rushing and 5th in passing. "Not trying to be a smart ass dc...just an ass."
  14. FYI........... With all the recent success of the passing game it can be confusing for fans who think the Ravens are a passing team. Not so. They are very balanced...107 passes to 101 rushes. 7 rushing TD's to 6 passing TD's. Perfect IMO. "Here we go again! Chase the purple jersey! Chase the purple Jersey!"
  15. I'm really excited about all the potential...all the young hot prospects..because the media says there is something really good going on. They tell me to look...and be excited. I can really, really see how this team is going to be really, really good. Really.
  16. on the Steelers... The Ravens and Bengals have become better while the Steelers are fat and old. I'd like to catch the Steelers now while they are struggling...Nov 29th is a long way away and that gives them time to get better.
  17. If the O line can keep Joe Cool cool, then I love the Ravens chances for a win. I think they can. Sould be a shootout with whoever is more effective in the redzone winning the game. Edge: Ravens The Ravens are putting up more points than the Pats are...103-60...13 TD's to only 5 for the Pats. The Patriots own the NFL’s best home record (55-19) since 2000, 1 game better than the Ravens (54-20).
  18. The Ravens have never beaten the Pats. In fact, they have never scored a TD in Foxboro. It's time to get this monkey off their backs.
  19. I sense a new movement in Cleveland. Leadership starts at the top. It won't be long before the majority of the population follows suit.
  20. One fine fan posted this thread title on the Redskins board...
  21. I said this somewhere before... The Steelers have a cupcake schedule. If the Ravens are to win the AFC North then it's games like this that will help. The unlikely event of a Bengals sweep and Ravens sweep could knock the Steelers out of the playoffs. There's a lot of football left to be played...anything can happen...even the Browns finishing 13-3...
