  1. LOL Steelers..."They really suck!"

    STAINS!

Awesome...I caught the second half. Their secondary covers people...the front 7 sacks and pressures the QB. Great defensive effort because Quin couldn't hit the side of a barn. Perhaps I'll make a trip to visit my good friends on the Brownie board....
  3. I really want him to succeed in Detroit...just not this Sunday.
  4. $70,000,000!!! This is getting real ugly. No hospital visit for the broken nose. No calls to the police. No criminal charges filed....but she deserves $70,000,000. Right.
  5. I herad that too...something about his knee.
  6. No. Did you forget a washed up Marvin Harrison look like a Pro Bowler vs him last year. The only positive to McAlister playing corner for the Ravens is he wouldn't make the Obligatory Defensive Pass Interference Game Losing Penalty. Because he can't get close enough to a receiver to touch him...
  7. geo...Preston, in an article today, has a side note about what is going on here league wide. Parity is part of the reason so many organizations are 'up and down' with success/failure going in cycles... It kind of relates to the topic... The positive to this is an apx 50% turnover in playoff teams. Teams going from 6-10 to 10-6 every year...and then back down again.. That gets fans excited and gives them hope. Even Browns fans think this is their year every pre season...until OCT 1st... The downs side is watered-down football. There are only so many quality starting QB's, DE's, Nose guards, LT's and shut down CB's available. Not enough for 32 teams and that will get worse with expansion. Because of the CAP (and I'm all for it), teams can only 'buy' so many difference making stars. You can't throw money into all the team holes because that CAP keeps the spending playing field level. So...for example...Ozzie rolls the dice and they decide to bring back Walker and Washington...he buys Fozworth thinking this will fill the void and tighten up the secondary...Rolle will be back anyway... Well...it hasn't worked out to plan and the quickest way to go from 1st to worst is to have a crappy secondary. The next way is a crappy QB. Both are mortal wounds to a football team. We've lived that here in Baltimore. We know. Thankfully Ozzie hits well in the draft. He got Webb and it would really be bad without him this year. He got Flacco and Rice. He committed to building an O line and that will bare fruit and keep this team competative. After years of drafting defense he went for O the last few...that's paying off but now the D has holes showing up. See the cycle? You can't have it all...you can't stay on top forever or the bottom. The exceptions here are few: There are outstanding Front Offices who put a competetive product out with regularity. They are the Slappie Front Offices/Owners who can't hit the side of the barn with a shot gun. The Ravens stated goal is to be consistently competetive...like the Colts, Pats ect. That was stated around the time Harbaugh was hired so they have not achieved that yet...it's early for a plan like that. It means they will not mortgage the future to win now. They will not go to CAP Jail. Ozzie did that once to get us a Super Bowl and he won't do that again. He loved the Ring but hated the price and consequences. As we all know there are a ton of factors that go into building a solid football team and that is why we have so much to talk about in the off season. Long winded today but I love talking football with everybody...
  8. We know he can stretch the field and make plays...he's good. He's a playmaker. The problem is he's NEVER healthy. Some guys have this problem and they never find out "what they could have been".
  9. He got exposed against the Redskins. He's lost 'his game'.
  10. Grubbs was getting pushed around all night...maybe he's hurt. Come to think of it, a ton of players were on the injury report this week but played hurt. That goes for Flacco...ribs, serious hip bruise, sprained ankle...and who knows what else after last night. The Packers were definately the faster team on the field.
  11. Something must be wrong with McAlister. If he still "had it" they wouldn't let him go. "Maybe they should tape the secondary's arms to their sides so they can't grab anybody."
  12. The wild card spot was on the line and with that at stake the effort was shitty. Ho-Hum offensive line slowly walking around and wiffing on assignments. Receivers unable to get seperation. Team wide discipline problems...the penalties say meltdown! Poop in pants. I haven't seen such a mess since the Detroit Meltdown. It's a different form of quitting but it's quitting IMO.
  13. I've seen enough. Can't win with that group. They're JV.

    Upset Sunday?

Well...it looks like a great race...provided the Ravens win tomorrow night. Hey...meaningfull games in December...for that I'm gratefull.
  16. "No smoking...Glue...and cheap wine Billy" Preston has been kissing Tomlin's ass all week on the radio and in some blogs...quoting him...whatever...it was great watching those Steeler fans dumbfounded looks...Tomlin had that look too....that "far away look". Don Banks picked up on this too... We have to hope the Broncos stumble...and the Jags.

    Upset Sunday?

LOL...Tomlin said his teamn would 'play with a vengence' after the loss to the Ravens. Bullshit...they are weak and I like the Ravens chances in Pittsburgh. Indigenous Persons find a way to lose...despite playing great (have to admit it). Cowgirls about to take a dive to the G-Men. I was hoping the Phish would lose...oh well. Broncos win...I expected that... but that hurts the Ravens. So long Titans. OK...Ravens have caught another break...time to take advantadge of dwindling opportunities.

    Upset Sunday?

One can hope! Lions destroy the Bengals, Raiders send the Steelers packing, Cleveland pounds the Chargers...... Chiefs send Denver out 'into the weeping and knashing of teeth'. Texans over Jags...right? Hey! The Indigenous Persons over the Saints who will sit 4 defensive starters today. Or are the sitting the 4 starters because they know they won't need them?
  19. I read this and thought...yea...maybe they are getting better. Thanks to Webb. We know the pass rush is critical to how well the secondary holds up but take that out of the equation for a moment and the question is: Is the secondary improving?
  20. With all that money he should be able to do better than this....but then again...he was voted 'King Ugly' two different seasons.
  21. ...Yea Ray Rice! Love the kid. I think he's got this rivalry thing down...
  22. Anybody else watch the games yesterday? I hung on to the Alabama game and Texas/Nebraska game and flipped to the Cinci and Clemson games in between...it was an exciting day of college football while I trimed the tree. Great come from behind win for Cinci but they have no defense. Alabama (my favorite) rolled over Florida...crushed them...and Mark Imgram is my Heisman guy. The Tide was so dominant that I see Texas having no shot at them. McElroy is getting better and better at QB as the season wears on, Imgram is just one outstanding talent...Areanas on ST is incredible to watch, and their D is very physical (hope the Ravensd get Orlando McClain). The O line played the same smashmouth football. They are the best TEAM in college football right now. And Texas/Nebraska????...I couldn't turn the game off. I smelled upset all night. Two offenses that gave a new meaning to futility but one of then, Texas, was supposed to be great. That makes Nebraska's D great. What a show they put on and Suh has to be the 1st pick in the draft. For the night he had 4½ sack and 12 total tackles but that doesn't tell the story on his dominance play after play. I can't remember a DT playing so dominant...probably why I couldn't turn the game off. Here's the story on that game... I wanted that FG to miss because Texas is not National Champion worthy. So long McCoy...no Heisman for you. You either Tebow but he was classy through the tears after the loss. Nebraska's offense was horrid. Almost comic watching them try to gain 10 yards. Zac Lee was something like 2-8 for 10 yards and 2 INT's in the 1st half...around 35 yards of total offense. It was their D with 2 INT's that gave them Fielg Goal range and Special Teams. Special Teams almost pulled it off for the Cornhuskers to win the game. Here's the BCS picture... Great day of football.
  23. Since we're looking ahead....I want that linebacker McLain from Alabama and definately we have to get Areanas...get on itg Ozzie!
  24. I wish this was NFL QB's filing it instead of a gold digger...
