  1. Just looked at the College Bowl schedule. there's games all day Saturday with the playoff games at 4 and 8pm. My eyes may be bleeding by Sunday night. LOL....Moron Alert!
  2. That's definitely a problem. If they can clean that up, play focused and disciplined then it would make a huge difference. Penalties will kill them in the playoffs. All teams are too equal.
  3. I needed to see more of Stone to see if he could develop. I heard that he was claimed off waivers. Just like Waller was and now I'll always be worried that somebody stole a good one.
  4. Shitty way to end such an incredible streak. Andrews will probably hold. Hopefully they won't need Tucker to punt.
  5. Ok...I understand now. We're real good. On the same page. And by "fail" you are talking about winning the Super Bowl. Those were great Bills teams. Looks like they finally have another one. The only Ravens weakness that I see is that if they get down 10-14 points, then, can they come back? The Bills and KC will put up points. I think the Ravens are in a better position to mount comebacks this year than last. They recently out dueled the Browns. Defense....I think that's where the Ravens hold the edge. If they can be healthy throughout the playoffs. With all their starters, they can stop the run and put the clamps down on the passing attacks. I think that for the Ravens this year, it will take defense to win a championship. This developing AFC playoff field is evenly matched. Penalties and turn overs will be critical in every game. Winning field position. Scoring touchdowns in the red zone rather than FG's. Health and of course luck. Luck or good fortune comes into play at some point for every SB Champion.
  6. Answer: Nothing. This is the age of Parity and watered down rosters. Free agency and large roster turn overs. This makes Eric's and the coaching staff's achievements all that more significant. 14-2...11-5. Damn good. Especially considering Covid, injuries and IR. The depth of this team came through. Eric got them. The coaches coached them. Shit...they are about to have the highest winning points differential 2 years in a row. Something that no team has done. That's a team stat. This post is basically about the team that has been assembled over the last 3 years. They have around 17-18 wins against teams with winning records since Lamar started. Excellent. If it's Harbaugh who you are after, please read his bio in this post. He's defeated a ton of playoff caliber teams. I'll give you this: I agree, we really don't know how well they will perform in the playoffs (if that's where you are going). The competition ratchets up a notch yet no team strikes me as unbeatable, dominant and far superior to the Ravens. As for this 2020 team, who are on their way to 11-5 and the playoffs if they win Sunday....well, we'll see how they do in the playoffs. Perhaps Harbaugh will build on his playoff legacy over the next few years. Anyway you look at it, currently there are few coaches who can rival Harbaughs success. You have got to be kidding me if you want to risk years of trying to find a new HC who can do as good or better than him. Simply look at the astounding number of failures of HC around the league over this same time period. Or do you know of some guy who is available who will fix what you are concerned about? Did you ever hear "Be careful what you pray for?" You have. Think about it.
  7. Last weekend was so much fun watching football because of all the playoff implications for so many teams. I was a multi tasking fool. I fully watched every snap of the Ravens game. I kept switching to NFL Red Zone during time outs and quarter changes. I had my Galaxy Note Book continuously open and smoking on the scores and stats section of ESPN. Use this link....NFL Football Scores - NFL Scoreboard - ESPN I was in Football Nirvana. Because the Ravens were handling business. .....while others were losing their grip on the end of a slick rope. The Ravens have more business to handle against the Bengals. Win and they are in. If they fail, there is a good chance (not no chance) that the Ravens fans, team and organization will be "sent forth unto the weeping and gnashing of teeth." The Team will enter Valhalla...the Halls of the Slain. Where they will be joined by many. So here we are. Week 17. And it looks to be a wild weekend. Clean your TV screens, charge up you iPads, Note Books, lap tops and cell phones. Have the NFL Red Zone channel tuned in so you can flip back and forth (channel 835 on verizon fios). You know the drill: Have food cooked and prepared for fast food access... Any Family and children who are not watching (this should be addressed) need to be warned to not to disturb you unless blood is shooting out all over the place. And of course, it is safe to go to the bathroom when Tucker takes the field... The point of this post is to provide a reference guide for Sundays games. We value service to our members and guests.....and... Feel safe. Here, at ER.....we don't use disreputable sources for information... So here's the whole schedule thanks to the hard work of The Sporting News. Very Reputable! And...It works nicely with my life long motto of "Why do the work if somebody else will do it?" 8. Stop getting your information from Rudy Giuliani or you'll become the Rudy Giuliani of the message boards.
  9. Intel Report. "Just the facts." As you can see Sundays game is no "*** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy ***". The Bengals have been growing and improving despite not having Burroughs. In fact, they have bought in and are enthusiastic, with high hopes for the future of this team ahead. Add to this, the fact that they are a division opponent, who has had at least 4 games against the Lamar led offense and you can see why divisional games are always tough and in a catagory of their own. they just defeated the Steelers q27-17. Things change. They are not the Cowboys or the Giants, who went into shock. And....they are not focused on the parking lot, in a hurry to get the season over and go home. Team Stats Points Per Game 28.7 20.5 Points Allowed Per Game 20.0 25.7 Total Yards 364.3 351.1 Yards Passing 186.5 249.7 Yards Rushing 177.8 101.4 Yards Allowed 356.9 385.7 Pass Yards Allowed 250.7 254.7 Rush Yards Allowed 106.2 130.9 By the way....have I mentioned that all of you look fabulous today? ... Ravens 74.1 % win percentage...before a snap is taken. That can change real quick. 40 degrees and cloudy at kick off.
  10. Yea.....let's take care of that business......and I want the Steelers. Ravens assuming their rightful place;
  11. Let's not fail to mention John Harbaugh for his incredible expertise to find and hire these coaches. He's finds great talent where the rest of the NFL world can't, and thus the league continues to raid the Ravens for coaches. He was a big part of drafting Lamar and building a offense around him. He and Greg brought the running game back to the dink and dunk NFL, revolutionized the position of QB (because they had Jackson) and opened the door for any athletic QB to add the run option to his repertoire. Today, in just 2 and 1/2 short years, we are seeing more QB's than ever before run with the ball as viable offensive plays. The game has changed and defenses are losing sleep. let's all take a moment of silence, in gratitude as we read about the Ravens accomplishments under this great HC:
  12. Just listened to Jason LaCafora on the radio and he noted that over the last 4 weeks the Ravens averaged an astounding 233 yards rushing per game. 6.4 ypc. Simply amazing. Astounding, when you consider the totally new make up of the O line this year. No Yanda and Stanley. No Boyle. Tomlinson at TE? Skira and Mekari rotating in and out. Brown at LT. Fluker at RT. Bozeman, Powers and Phillips! It's a whole new road grading unit from the one that set records last year. Greg Roman is in a zone. He's found the sweet spot and has settled into a winning formula. Joe D'Alessandris or Joe D has worked miracles with this line. Richard Angulo is the assistant line coach and deserves praise too. This line could be a mess without the excellent coaching they have been fortunate to receive. Just Remember, Together they had a huge hand in making this happen last year: And they have it happening again with a whole new cast of characters. Who saw this coming? They are executing. They are road grading and playing at a high level and also doing a great job protecting Lamar. Now, for the last month or so, like most Ravens fans, I have been struggling to identify who the Ravens have playing on the field. With 23 players missing due to Covid, so many players on IR and then the usual injury report, my head has been spinning trying to figure out how the Ravens have been staying close and competitive in their losses and then dominant in this latest four-game winning streak. Fortunately, our good friend Mike Preston, did our homework for us in the following excellent article: What did you think about the O lines performance Mike? Wink and his staff have done wonders. We know the rush defense suffers without Williams and Campbell. Then, the strength of the defense, the secondary gets wiped out. Guys that I never heard of are covering receivers and new names are admirably filling roles. Madabuke, Ward, and Wolfe are filling in very well. Wolf has simply taken over leadership and played like a monster. Ngakoue, Board.....these are not the standard house hold names yet they are making a strong case to be a part of the family. And now, let's take a moment of silence for the Architect , Eric DeCosta.... He is the story behind the story. He consistently finds "RAVENS" in the draft, free agency, off the street, and in Greyhound bus stations. This year because of Covid, there were no OTA's, a Band-Aid of a preseason and a short window of time for new players to learn their roles and step up to play like a Raven. A ton of injuries that would ruin most teams were overcome. Where would the Ravens be without Eric and this excellent Ravens coaching staff?
  13. This has been put together by Brent from Filmstudy....2020 Quarterback Play | FilmstudyBaltimore. Nice work! Thank you. Basically the Ravens will be either a 5th seed or a 6th seed if they take care of business. That means that their 1st playoff game will be against either the Titans or Colts if they finish as a 5 seed. If they finish as a 6th seed they will play either the Steelers or Bills. Who would you like to see the Ravens play?
  14. The Worm has Turned! Win and They're In. Peeking ahead... The "Almost Worse Case Senario: Worst Case: Ravens lose, Steelers lose and everybody else wins. We know that won't happen, right? The Peek Ahead.... So now, the Ravens can't afford to count their eggs before they hatch. They have to chop water and carry wood... I'm not buying in to "the Ravens are the scariest team in the playoffs" or that "Nobody wants to Play the Ravens." All the playoff teams are scary. And none of them are afraid to play against anybody. All the playoff teams have very good chances to defeat each other. So todays peek ahead and questions are: "Can the 2020 Ravens make a run in this years 2020 playoff field? Are they peaking? Will they hit the playoffs firing on all cylinders? Have they learned and grown for the last 2 years early playoff exits?
  15. So the Sun came out this morning. The Raiders lost. .. And I hit Bottom Saturday Night.... But Wait! There's always another day. The Jets beat the Browns. ...let that sink in. Aside: A peek at the Browns fans: The Steelers were down to the Colts by 24-7 in the 3rd quarter and won. Unreal! The Ravens won like we thought they would and suddenly we wake up this morning to a "Win and They're In" scenario.
  16. "Lo! What's this? I hear a great wailing. A weeping and gnashing of teeth? It's the Browns board!"
  17. I feel different about this years Ravens and the playoff teams in the AFC. The Ravens have not been healthy and playing at full strength. At one point they had 25 players on IR or Covid. Now they are starting to hit stride and peak, while missing key players like Campbell, Peters and others. The Ravens have a better chance than most teams in the AFC to make it to the Championship game. Even the 14-1 Chiefs are not the steamroller they were in the early part of the season. They won 17-14 today against the Falcons. Their last 7 games have been 3-5 point wins. And they are the cream of the crop. A healthy Ravens team has an excellent chance to do damage and win. I'll stake my name and reputation on it.......
  18. Yea! I have to say, "I'm Happy!" and "Relieved." How about Gus! We have a lot of Ravens players who are taking their game to the next level and a lot of new faces who are emerging as upcoming starters. The Ravens just rolled up 432 yards of offense on a very good Giants defense.8 for 11 on 3rd down. 249 yards rushing. 6.2 ypc. That is incredible against a very solid Giants front 7 that only allows 101.8. That is very serious domination and a very serious statement. Great Oline play against that D. They road graded them into the dirt and Lamar had all day to throw. 0 sacks. Lamar throws for 111.5 QB rating, threw for 2 TD's and ran for 80 yards. Once again, he finds himself as the best athlete and playmaker on the field. . 6 sacks. 7 tackles for a loss. 11 QB hits.
  19. Everybody...go to the ER Happy Place! Drinks are on dee....
  20. Yea...unbelievable yet true. It's the Browns being the Browns.
  21. "Did you see that Look on Mayfield's face after the QB sneak and fumble? He had that "Far Away Look." Amazed that the Colts lost...great choke job. It's the NFL and anything can and does happen. HOLY SHIT!!!! It's starting to sink in. The Ravens control their destiny.
  22. Mayfield fumbles on 4th and inches...I think Jets have the ball and that's the game. RAVENS WIN NEXT SUNDAY AND THEY ARE IN!!! MERRY DELAYED CHRISTMAS!!!!!
  23. Steeler ball 9n downs...1 minute left...Colts lose. Wait...I thought the same thing with 19bseconds left last night. Browns are driving
  24. 23-16...2:53 to play...here goes my nerves. Colts are driving too...holy shit
  25. Oh yea! Mayfield sack and fumble! Jets balkl at Cleveland 11
