  1. You need backups on return guys. He was down for several weeks a couple yrs ago.

I understand that but why was Asa taking all the returns from the start. If Jones is the starter I didn't see him get any reps there last night. Maybe they dont want to risk him in preseason.

  2. This is all about the secondary for me. Brown, Jackson, and Stewart/Brooks (and Miles depending on who they rotate where). We won't learn much else tonight.

Not too impressive IMO. Looked like a hold of grabbing and holding aside from Jacksons INT which was basically a gimme from Blaine noodle arm Gabbert.

  3. I agree that Campenero is essentially guaranteed a spot based upon the draft picks and his versatility on in the return game.

Speaking of return game I know Asa Jackson and Campenero tooks snaps there last night, but that was just for practice/backup right? Jacoby is the only guy I want back there. I'd be happy to see Jacoby be strictly a 4th WR / return man and have Brown slide into the 3rd receiver spot.

  4. Boy have the ravens changed from the Travis Taylor Mark Clayton days....

It seems to me the Ravens have a lot of legit receivers this season. Guys who can run routes, catch, move the chains and make a huge difference. Who makes this roster and who goes to the practice squad?

The four guys who make the cut come to mind easily but after that it gets blurry.

    T Smith - lock

    S smith - lock

    Brown - lock

    Jones - lock

Akem - having a great camp and game last night

Campenero - Special teams returns and draft pick

Deonte Thompson - always shows potential and has size and speed

Butler - having a good camp and game last night

Laquan - local, shown flashes last year.

  5. From what I saw last night the Ravens have a very tough decision to make with these backs. Will they carry 4 RB's? Rice and Pierce are locks. Forsett has veteran experience, the inside track with Kubiak and he played well. Taliaferro played great and he was draft pick. I'm guess Forsett would be the odd man out here

  6. WTF, the offense on that first series was awesome! I've been waiting for years to see them execute an offense that well.

I kept a close eye on Rick Wagner. That guy can play! So I just might wind up eating my words about how we shoulda drafted an OT!

It looked like Yanda was definitely helping out on Wagners blocks too. But I do believe is he can avoid false starts he can be an instant upgrade over Oher.

  7. Thank you.

    Completely agree.

I didn't want to draft another receiver because I want Brown to get on the field as much as possible. When you start talking about 5 - 6 guys that will all be getting touches it is really going to take away from Browns opportunities. He can be a huge asset in the Redzone he just needs to get experience

  8. Note to self, do not draft Calvin Johnson or Matthew Stafford in fantasy leagues next year...

This is the best news to happen to the Ravens offense in a longggg time. Are the Lions really this stupid? Did they even watch tape from the Ravens offense this year? Did they even watch the Ravens-Lions game where we had to kick 5 field goals and scored 0 TD's??? What are they thinking???

    GO RAVENS!!!

  9. They need a quarterback. They're going nowhere with Dalton.

yet the average NFL fan would say Dalton is a much better QB than Flacco because of regular season pass yards and touchdowns. I am convinced this is the only thing that matters these days. That's why guys like Romo, Stafford, and Ryan who make as much as Flacco never get criticized to the extent of Flacco even though he has accomplished 10x more in his career.
