  1. Thanks for the email V. I'll put Aaron's tweets in here.
  2. Ah, what a pair. I miss my ex's so much but got some last week. Even told the manager to wear my favorite T-shirt and she did. ;) Expect to get some more tonight. It's karaoke night and singing Crazy Bitch gets me scored every time. But that's a different type of TD.
  3. Did great on 11 on 11 drills catching the ball and moving the chains. It was his best practice since coming here after quiet mini and rookie camps. Butler, the undrafted WR, see thread, had another impressive practice fighting for 3rd WR position. Kendrick Lewis, the new Safety made a great play and looks better than Elam. Hill and Kendrick could be the starting Safeties this year. Trestman's famous use of the RB in passing formation was shown as Tally, Forsett and Buck all had a fair share of pass thrown their way. KJ also flashed reliable hands. We had a discussion about KJs use in this offense as Trest promised to use him more this year. He already has in practice. And dont worry about not running the ball. Last year, Forte was the 4th leading rusher in NFL after receiving 101 passes for 800 yards as Bears had one of the highest scoring machines in football. I can't wait to see this offense. Drop em long Joe. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/News-And-Notes-731-Maxx-Williams-Has-Strong-Practice/642e8e63-e0bd-495a-96f6-2ecbeb143ff0
  4. Here we go again. Busted knee already for our blue chip receiver. Aaron Wilson said it's day to day situation. Ravens say it's minor injury. Dooom has tendenitis. Another undrafted WR impresses at camp. Webbie passed conditioning test. Taliaferro is much leaner and quicker this year. Arthur Brown former #2 draft pick who has been big bust scored TD after Buck Allen dropped pass. Allen was supposed to be a good pass catcher. https://twitter.com/AaronWilson_NFL
  5. Gannon would say he did. He still hates Goose. LOL. Great posts above on updates and conditioning.
  6. Here's a question for you guys. After last year's draft, DeCosta did a radio interview at MOther's in Fells Point and mentioned that the front office almost signed a WR for mega bucks but decided vs it and signed Steve Smith Sr. That WR sounds like Edelson signed by NE and he had a good season and vs us in POs. Who would you rather have - SR or Edelson?
  7. Thanks 82, great link. If he can just stay clear of the injury bug, he's a keeper. DeCosta compared him to Edelson.
  8. Ozzie was thinking playoffs which he made again thanks to his top picks that produced like MOsley who just missed rookie of year and Jernigan who filled in so well for Ngata and had a good POs when he returned. Jernigan allowed Ozzie to trade Ngata for picks that got him the best TE, Maxx this year and Zadarius Smith who made Dupree good in college by taking up his blockers. Wenning was cut but they wanted a backup and Campy is still in the picture for another great draft for Ozzie. At the beginning of the year he had Webbie and Jimmy on the team but both would go down during camp and the season. He goes to another SB if just Jimmy Smith doesn't get injured.
  9. Speaking of Campy, I'm still holding out hope and so are Ravens. He made a few good plays last year with a 19 yard TD on a difficult pass vs Bucs plus 4 catches for 39 yards in NE playoff game. If he can beat the injury bug he'll be good like here. He has also played on special teams fielding punts. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Michael-Campanaro-Debuts-Shines-With-Touchdown/6d117202-d0b2-4754-8866-6baf3a642ab4
  10. Yes indeed. He is a stud. Good way to put it. Great post. There was a pic during mini camp with Trestman walking down the field in the middle of Perriman and Waller and he looked like a midget. Didn't even reach their shoulders -lol. As the girls always say, size matters --lol.
  11. True but he had good mini and rookie camps. He never dropped a pass in college and was tied for best in the country for drops or no drops. He's already no Alligator Arms Moore, that stupid bastard and could easily play TE making him a multi-dimensional threat.
  12. IT'S RUMORED THAT TREASTMAN WANTED WALLER ALL ALONG BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND HE HAD THOSE TALL WRs IN CHICAGO AND ARIZONA. ARTICLE SAYS WALLER MIGHT SEE MORE PLAYING TIME THAN PEOPLE THINK. THEY ALSO WANT TO TRY HIM OUT AT TE WHERE GEORGIA TECH FANS THINK ITS HIS NATURAL POSITION. https://www.numberfire.com/nfl/news/5248/darren-waller-the-breshad-perriman-backup-plan
  13. Yea, I remember that quote but we can't criticize Kubes too much because he had the 12th best offense, up from 25th or thereabouts the year before. As for Trestman, the Bears were the 2d highest scoring team in NFL last year with two bad QBs. Some say that's why he always threw to Forte, his RB who had 800 yards receiving but stats proved Trest used his RB in the passing every season of his life except once. Getting back to KJ, Trestman did use the H-back in Chicago last year. He wasn't that good in the beginning and made mistakes but caught on. KJ is much better so this seems to be the way KJ will be used. We'll see.
  14. Ah, wait a minute. I just remember reading something about Trestman using KJ possibly as an H-back which he played well in college. I'll look it up.
  15. WoW - I never heard that one about Aaron moving. Good point above about KJ. He sure got lost in Kubes offense last year but he didn't have much use for the full back after using 2 TE sets plus 3 WRs and Forsett caught 40 passes as RB. But Trestman's offense will use Forsett even more in the passing game plus the 2 TEs so how can he use KJ too but I sure hope he does. Neither KJ or Torrey did well in Kubes offense last year.
  16. Wagner and Zuttah progressing well. If Z can't play in pre-season I guess that means Urschel will continue to play Center. He did well before. Trestman says Ravens can move KJ around to create probs for defense. Jarrett Johnson and Duane Starks become interns as training camp scouts. Starks? He's old and has been out of the game a while. He iced SB35 with an int. Goodell doesn't reduce Brady's suspension. 5 things to look for in training camp. https://twitter.com/
  17. I didn't know that about JOhn. I was going by when he was young and running things when Petey took over. A family friend was a secretary for 30 yrs for the Os and John Angelos did nothing for her in the way of a retirement party which was lunch by some office friends. She was pissed at John. I also had friends that were ushers for 20 yrs after Angelos took over and they didn't like John either. They said he has his thumb on everything and does stuff that comes all the way down to their level that makes them miserable. So those are friends with bad experiences from John Angelos within the organization by it sounds like he's grown from the old days according to your report. I read where he also goes around the country advocating that MLB act like the NFL owners with teams sharing revenues. It would make baseball stronger and they would go back to being America's game but the Yankees stop it. They don't care about the small markets. Guess who was in first place last time I looked. Anyway, it sounds like John is a lot better from the old days as far as business but I'm not sure about his inter-personal skills.
  18. Thanks bro. Man, I went to every training camp til they moved it to OM. They had about 20,000 there for just a practice in the blistering heat. There's not enough parking or seats for the fans at OM. I'd get there at 0700, plunk my chair in the corner of the endzone opposite the gym where all the action came. Good one Max. Very funny. LOL
  19. They still have the worse defense in the league and ours 6th best overall, even with a secondary deleted of its top corners and some of its backups. A new coach will put in another system while Ravens defense is the same and only got better with more depth like with Carl and Zadarius who freed up Dupree in college and with vet guys like Urban and KLM returning from injuries and we should have Webbie back and maybe Jimmy. The secondary got even stronger with signings of Arrington in case Jimmy isn't there for week 1 and Kendrick Lewis who is better than Elam and just might take his place. Plus Will Hill will be here there entire year. Defense alone wins this game hands down, and throw in 30 pts from Joe it's easy, as long as he shows up. The only way we lose is if Joe and the team doesn't show up like in Houston last year which is always a possibility as Ravens play down to the other team at times. Its hard to play so emotionally high in Pissburgh and then play a lousy team at the same emotional level.
  20. They're easier that the division rivals we're facing. Cleveland will be tougher. BTW, it was re-named The Purple Hole when Goose landed on top of Gannon knocking that p*ssy out and was fined $10,000 for it. I was there and participated in renaming the stadium. I expect Cleveland to be tougher than Oakland with a new coach who's been fired - Jack Del Rio. They're not gonna win on coaching (Rio vs Harbs) or by quarterbacking (Carr vs Flacco) OR RB or defense. THIS ON OFFENSE FOR 2014: Total Yards Per Game 364.9 = RAVENS 282.2 = OAKPassing Yards Per Game 238.7 = RAVENS 204.7 = OAKRush Yards Per Game 126.2 = RAVENS 77.5 = OAKANALYZE MATCHUP http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2015092010/2015/REG2/ravens@raiders#menu=gameinfo&tab=preview
  21. Yea, the schedule is a bitch. No one has talked about it. There's only one easy team, OAK, in the first 5 weeks while going up vs the division teams.
  22. Yup, Mike makes the point. http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-images-obese-man-eating-donut-image29651899
  23. Ditto on the thread title. I was about to post this story under the headline that Eisenberg used. I had no idea this was the same story. Anyway, a lot of fans think Ravens can't sign both because of CAP ceiling and they don't want to spend that much on an OG. You can always get one on the cheap in the middle rounds, like a RB, but our last two LGs came in the higher rounds - Grubbs and KO coming in the first and 2d rounds. Mulitalo who played effectively for many years came a litte later. But as Eisenberg says, Ravens can sign both and usually keep the ones they must have as Joe went from the most blitzed QB to the least blitzed last year and the running game boomed up the middle between Center and KO and Center and Yanda. This should be the thread's title, the title in the link. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Who-Says-Either-Marshal-Yanda-Or-Kelechi-Osemele-Must-Go/0f4b32d3-c7e7-4f78-9e74-2662374c7ccc
  24. LOL - That was the only thing old man Irsay did right - leaving the team to his son. He turned things around and got its only SB trophy and a ton of playoffs (it helped being in a candy bar division). The old man paid $20M for the team in 1972 and it's worth $1B with a great new stadium. Jimmy said he was trained on every non-coaching job in the organization. When he was young, Marchibroda did teach him how to watch film. It almost didn't turn out that way. The old man tried to fire Jimmy as executor of his estate and from the team. He was messing with his step mom sending some expensive jewelry back to the store. The old man was furious when his wife informed him so he tried to fire JImmy. However, it was too late because Jimmy was already appointed by the court as Irsay's legal guardian as he was ruled by the court to be mentally incompetent to handle his affairs. When the old man died Jimmy went at the bitch. She wanted the ranch and the team. There was a pre-naupt signed that wouldn't let her have the estate and there was no way she would get the team. So they settled out of court. She got the ranch and Jimmy got the team but she was entitled to sit in the owners suite. Jimmy was so furious he built a petition down the middle so he couldn't see her. Of course, things went bad for Jimmy going on drugs about that time. He went thru re-hab and Tagliabue met with him and recommended he hire Polian as GM and Dungy as coach and stay out of things. Jimmy did and Tags got him counseling. Jimmy of course was suspended last year for drugs as he had a relapse. Not to change the topic but Peter Angelos is about 89 now and will have to step down. He already retired from the law firm and his sons will take over the team. From what I heard they are worse than Petey for the 15 years he destroyed one of the best franchises in sports. The team is good again after all those losing seasons. Lord help us when the sons take over.
  25. Man, Bisciotti could sell tickets at club level prices and have 10,000 fans camped out in his yard-lol.
