  1. Speaking of pushing him, I just saw a high light where he hits the blocker with one hand and drives him back 10 yards. I think he was a RB coming up to hit him. WoW.
  2. We have threads on him, look them up but this guy is the steal of the entire draft. Denver could not deal with him and Brandon Williams up the middle. Here are Film Study's notes on him: Carl Davis had a terrific NFL debut including good play versus the run and significant pass rush contributions. Davis notes included:–(Q2, 15:00) He beat Mathis cleanly to the outside to pressure Manning. As he held him by the sleeve, Manning made an ill-advised, left-handed flip to Daniels that went for a loss of 4. –(Q2, 12:16) He held the edge versus a double from TEs Casey and Green as Canty took down Hillman for a gain of 2. –(Q2, 11:49) Davis held a double team versus Paradis and Mathis as McClellan came on a green dog blitz through the resulting gap to sack Manning for a loss of 9. –(Q2, 4:51) He backed up Mathis then shed him to tackle Anderson for a gain of 1. –(Q3, 13:20) He took a double team from Paradis and Vasquez yet was able to bat down Manning’s pass near the line of scrimmage. –(Q4, 13:08) He worked off Mathis to take down Anderson on an edge held by Guy. While his contribution was significant, Guy ended up on his back yet somehow was awarded the only tackle credit. –(Q4, 11:42) Davis was sealed by Vasquez on Hillman’s 11-yard run right. –(Q4, 7:39) Sambrailo drove back Davis to lead Hillman’s 9-yard run. –(Q4, 7:11) Carl slipped off Vasquez to take down Hillman for a gain of 2.
  3. Like I said, it was just out of SRs reach. That's because Roby got a hand on it and changed its direction. That's why SR couldn't catch it. Similar to the Lee Evans dropped ball in NE couple of years ago with 30 secs left to the SB. DB got his hand in there at last second. (On the dropped pass by Steve Smith Sr.) “I think when you really look at it, [bradley Roby] got a hand on that ball and kind of misdirected it, you know, changed the course of the ball and made Steve drop it. It was a huge play by Roby.”
  4. Then why did they draft Perriman anyway? He was the fastest man in the draft. He ran past all the Ravens during the mini camps until he was injured on 30 July. Denver would have had their best CBs on him. He would have opened the middle like Torrey did but there were no throws over the middle to Gilmore. It wasn't there. The extra man in the box shut down the running game. The game isn't as close as it was with Perriman in there with his speed and the offense would have generated a few scores themselves with less men in the box because they were worried about Perriman's speed. That ball was just out of SRs reach and Joe was rushed again. Those last 10 yards in the red zone are the hardest to get. Just ask Seattle. They couldn't thet the last yard in the SB at the end.
  5. How many think Perriman makes that catch at the end? I do. He really hurt us with no speed. Denver didn't have to worry about deep threat or the middle being open by Perriman's or Torrey's speed. Before they did. Ozzie told Forsett he just took a man out of the box when he drafted Perriman but with him out, the extra man was int he box and shut down the running game and they came after Joe. No worry with the deep threat this year and I believe Perriman makes that catch at the end.
  6. And that's why we love football so much my friend and why I love it more than baseball. In baseball you have to pitch the last out but the clock is more exciting as we saw yesterday and in NE and other games all our lives. It's why football is America's Game, so exciting. Yea, that Sr play was the one I meant about being one play from winning. I really believe Perriman wins that game for us. He would have been open or would have at least opened the middle with his speed but they didn't have to worry about speed. No Torrey, No Perriman. I bet Perriman makes that last catch. Just my humble opinion.
  7. Von Miller schooled Wagner who is supposed to be one of the best RTs. They were in Joe's face so much he couldn't even roll out. The INT was thrown under pressure just like in NE. The line was supposed to be a strong point but looks like a liability all preseason and now. We get a break in Oak next week. In spite of it all Joe was right there in the end just a play short to win like in NE. Doom said they made 1 or 2 more plays than us to win.
  8. LOL - He kicked him in the back of leg. Typical Squeelers pussies. ILAMO
  9. And Joe says bring it on. He's already working on new stuff Trestman put in like checks at the line to take off some hits they took last year like vs HOuston and Indy when they brought the pressure on and Joe didn't do so well. Kubes remembers those games and will get his D-Coord, Wade Phillips, to bring on his aggressive defense with Von Miller and Company. This is why I said on the prediction thread Joe will score 34 points vs Denver. I can't wait to see Trestman's offense. The reason the pre-season was so terrible was because of a few injuries and Trest didn't show any thing. Not even a vanilla offense. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Gary-Kubiak-Will-Bring-The-Heat-Against-Joe-Flacco/b4230e05-ace1-4941-b022-e9fea6513375
  10. Jernigan and Melvin are doubtful. Perriman hasn't practiced since 30 JUly. Do we smell another Kindle here?
  11. Well, at least Piss lost last night opening vs the champs. They have more probs on defense than Ravens and still have secondary probs after losing what they did.
  12. He's still not 100%. It's a 12-15 foot month injury and he was hurt in week 5 last year. When he does start he'll be moving a lot slower than usual but he'd be better than the backups.
  13. Good point about Jimmy. We almost went to the SB last year w/o him. It took a lot of trickery and cheating and deflated balls vs a beat up secondary to beat us. We blew 2 TD leads in Foxboro in February. Nobody does that up there.
  14. LOL - Suggs said this hype is like the kiss of death.
  15. The first month of the schedule is brutal but it evens out in the second half. I have us with 10 or 11 wins, and a SB run. As for your questions VAX, SI says Ravens have the most well rounded team.
  16. According to SI. He had us going to it last year (as I did) but some well timed trickery by NE vs a beat up secondary kept the Ravens from going. SI says Ravens could use a change of fortune and if their secondary can stay healthy they will march thru a wide open AFC after going 11-5 in the regular season. Peter King also has the Ravens winning SB 50. See my post on the Bronco thread where Ravens will beat Denver. Bedard, who picked the Ravens to win the AFC North at 11-5, has them taking a route to the big game fans will likely love -- a wild-card win at home over the Pittsburgh Steelers, a road divisional-round win against the Patriots, and a win at the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game over former offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak. Bedard cited the Ravens' record in traveling to New England in January, and said their stout front seven can shut down Seattle’s ground game in the Super Bowl. “Baltimore is the most well-rounded team, one that has a lot to prove given how last season ended,” he wrote. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-sports-illustrated-picks-ravens-to-win-super-bowl-50-20150903-story.html
  17. This is where HARBs is at his best. With the world picking vs him because of the secondary which still has Jimmy out, he'll hit them hard for the win and on the road with Trestman's offense scoring 34 points and the D hanging on by a thread. I say that because the Ravens showed nothing on defense or offense over the summer while saving it for the real deal.
  18. WoW - NY wanted Asa - huh? LOL Ravens liked Myers and I thought they were trying to sneak him on the PS. They didn't quite make it. It's great getting drafted by the Ravens because even if you don't make the team someone will sign you as an Ozzie pick.
  19. Dan Brown who was cut and left town tweeted he was invited back to the PS and is enroute to Baltimore. Ravens asked former Texans CB James to join also but Ravens have not confirmed either one. Butler and Brenner are the big names that made it. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/2015-Ravens-Practice-Squad-Signings/04481412-b117-41dc-8c26-83d1f5bb7665
  20. Speaking of body control, he kind of reminded me of Heap on that last TD. Weve seen Heap win a lot of games like that.
  21. REST. Ravens rested starters like Joe and Suggs. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Game-Recap-Falcons-20-Ravens-19/9f2717da-ccbe-4a83-81e0-b8a1116a24b6
  22. That's what he says. He waits til his number is called and then he makes the plays.
  23. HARBs ;likes him a lot. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/WR-Daniel-Brown-A-Practice-Squad-Candidate-After-Big-Finale/17c31f06-a70a-4ae1-a16d-c9b491180740
  24. Jeff Zrebiec ‏@jeffzrebiecsun · 4m4 minutes ago Ravens have informed WR Daniel Brown that he's been let go. He is practice squad candidate. Team really likes him. He is certainly one of the fans' favorites. Scored a TD last night, blocked a ball and scored last week but he was working vs the scrubs. He should make the practice squad.
  25. As mentioned Brown forced a fumble and the undrafted Orr as been ahead of him all summer.
