  1. An oline that at one point or another lost its starting RT x2 it's starting rg it's c and it's starting LG. No way all those injuries happen again this year.
  2. http://www.steelersdepot.com/2013/05/apologies-to-steelers-rookie-undrafted-guard-nik-embernate/ This dude embernate or embernasty as they call him is a beast and plays angry as hell. He absolutely buried ziggy when SDSU played BYU I'm talking drove him through the ground like colon did burfict. I'm loving this pick up and the Steelers oline is looking better and better.
  3. Also come June 1st the Steelers will have a little more then 5 million to spend on free agents
  4. Nah flacco is going to hold out because rogers makes more then him now.
  5. Brown was the go to guy not Wallace. Every analyst with the exception of jaws has said the Steelers upgraded at wr. Wallace does one thing and if the ball isn't a perfect throw he isn't going to catch it. Wallace didn't fit into haleys system. Big Ben was never the same after the injury because he was still hurt. You can watch the game tape or just look at the stats he had zero zip on the ball. The Steelers first four picks will have a huge impact on this season. Unlike Upshaw they got an every down olb who is just nasty. So yinz just keep sleeping on them.
  6. If Ben stays healthy which means our oline has to stay healthy the Steelers will be back in it. The one trick pony diva is gone and we brought in a more versatile wr in Wheaton. How quickly people forget before Ben injury he was on pace for his best season ever. Now look at everywhere Todd Haley has been 2nd year in AZ 3 1000 wrs and a trip to the super bowl 2nd year in KC number 1 rushing attack and the chiefs win the division. Also watch out for McClendon dude is going to have a monster year. The ravens lost way more then the Steelers. They lost the heart and sole of the team and second in charge of the d. Also lost a bunch of lbers and replaced one with a huge bust who is probably going to see jail time and at least a 4 game suspension. They lost their best wr as well.
  7. I like this kid a lot and I think he is going to be a force starting next year. He needs to bulk up a little but to be a better run stopper but I will take the havoc he causes in the backfield.
  8. I like Simon and think yinz got a really good guy for the lockerroom with him as well.
  9. You really can't tell how a draft was right after the draft. I'm in the thinking of there is no such thing as a reach if he is your guy go get him. The toe fusion and lacy running behind a nfl line is why the Steelers passed on him. I think bell is the better of the two anyways. Bell was MSU only weapon and teams knew it yet he still produced. I don't know I just think most of these draft guys are just guessing.
  10. They gave the Steelers a b in 08 and that turned out to be one of the worst drafts in steeler history. This year I have seen the Steelers a c+ by yahoo and sporting news rated in the top draft. These guys have no clue and most of the time their mocks are so far off its horrible.
  11. Lmao frickin Browns they head me scratching my head all draft long
  12. Haha the Steelers draft thread isvgiggervthen the ravens.
  13. What the hell are the Brown's doing.
  14. The Simon pick has potential.
  15. I love the Thomas pick and completely shocked about Landry Jones had no clue he was even on their radar.
  16. Hey he is closer to his girlfriend now
  17. Wow one pick and yinz are done?
  18. He run better routes, high points the ball, battles for the ball, and catches it with his hands. I didn't say he was better then Wallace because nobody has walkaces speed and thats you can't teach but in some areas he is better. He can play inside or out and he is a better fit in haleys system. It was pretty clear Wallace didn't fit last year. Now the Steelers have 3 wrs that can line up all over the place and not just outside the numbers. He is nowhere near the homerun threat Wallace is but that won't be what's asked of him. The mire tape I watch of him the more I want to say he is a stronger version of AB . If Wallace didn't run a 4.27 he would have little value imo like tomlin always said he is a one trick pony with a greattrick
  19. Wow I didn't realize bell was only 20 I like him even more now. I'm loving the Wheaton pick he may not be as fast as Wallace but he already does a lot of stuff better then Wallace. Wheaton runs crisp routes and is extremely strong when fighting for the ball in the air. At 190 pounds 20 reps at the combine is impressive the wr average is like 14. So far I really like the Steelers draft. I hope they use a 6th on Rontez Miles.
  20. From who he doesn't try to jump lbers he jumps dbs going for his legs. If pollard were still around then yeah you would be correct. You are seeing players get leaped more and more these days and as long as he doesn't do it in traffic he will be fine.
  21. Not sure how I feel about this pick dude can and with the addtion of Stephan howlings the Steelers have a good mix of backs. I know tomlin and Colbert had him as the highest rated back but I think they could have waited another round to get him.
  22. I hope he falls 16 more spots because he is a great value at 48.
  23. Oh I knew you would have something to say.
  24. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/page/football-120926Schlabach/college-football-georgia-bulldogs-lb-jarvis-jones-overcomes-family-tragedy-star-field This kid is special and like I said it's running in shorts. I believe jerry rice ran like a 4.6 or 4.7. There is track speed and football speed and they are totally different. This kid shredded the Alabama line this year with 3 tackles for loss 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Never doubt motivation and heart did you learn nothing from ray Lewis.
  25. I think Jones makes an immediate impact even if it is just in certain pavkages
