Steeler O Line a Weakness

Where they got worse: On the offensive line. Maybe Marcus Gilbert is ready to lock down Ben Roethlisberger’s blindside a year after losing the majority of the season to injury. And maybe Mike Adams can make a leap forward at right tackle in his second NFL season. Barring significant improvement from pretty much everyone on this line (save center Maurkice Pouncey), though, Pittsburgh might spend the year lamenting the losses of tackle Max Starks and imposing guard Willie Colon. Those two longtime Steelers are elsewhere now — Starks in San Diego, Colon in New York — and they left behind a line that’s a question mark at best.

Lmao Gilbert isn't a RT he is a pass blocker and not built to battle bull rushing rolbs. We have been over Adams and as I pointed out earlier you can see a direct impact from his play. We have a guy going into his fourth a guy into his third and two into their second year. The up side to this oline is huge. That article also leaves out the Steelers changed oline coaches and schemes. I'm the most confident in this line as I have been in a long time. Another thing about olinemen is they need to be a unit and in order to do that you need to play together. It seemed like last year the Steelers had a different oline every week. These guys have been killing themselves as a unit in the weight room all off-season. Little things like that go a long way when it comes to cohesion.

4. Mike Adams, Steelers

I really liked Adams as a right tackle when I evaluated him in college, especially as a run blocker. He is scheduled to start on the left side, where he will see his old teammate, James Harrison, or Michael Johnson (11½ sacks), Elvis Dumervil (11 sacks) or Terrell Suggs, and Jabaal Sheard (seven sacks) or Barkevious Mingo. If he survives that group, the rest of the schedule is headed by Julius Peppers, Jared Allen, Clay Matthews and Cameron Wake. Ben Roethlisberger usually averages 37 pass plays a game, and he takes a lot of sacks. This is a tough situation for Adams.

Why would that matter Pittsburgh cant run the ball? and with that rag-tag O-line they aint doing Chit!

Keep sleeping on the Steelers oline. If they stay healthy they will have a very good oline. No oline is going to be good when you start a total of 11 different combinations due to injuries.
