I searched through the Indianapolis Star to find out if they Indy Colts did anything to honor Art Donovan.

Nothing.

Not even an article.

Nothing on the Franchises NFL website.

And no support for the family.

On the other hand, our Baltimore Ravens....

When Art Donovan passed away last weekend, it was the Ravens who confirmed his death to the Associated Press, enabling the news to travel. The Ravens also helped direct reporters on the story to the right people to comment on Donovan.

When Donovan was laid to rest Friday at Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, the Ravens helped with some of the logistics, making sure the event received the respect and treatment it deserved.

Donovan never donned a purple jersey and played for the Ravens..........But that doesn’t matter to the Ravens.

They may not even know that he passed away.

He was ours anyway vmax, they have no real claim to any of the greats from Bmore...I drove by just as they were bringing him out the door at the Cathedral on Charles st, and felt a little proud to see one of our greats taking his last ride....he was "A real work of Art"..

I heard an interview with Bisciotti on Sirius XM NFL Radio. The host Jim Miller referred to Donovan as a Raven, Bisciotti didn't even blink an eye and acknowledged him as one of our own.

He was a definite home town guy, just like Johnny U was....The old team moved on, but our true greats remained faithful to the end...

Now that's what you call admirable ......

Ravens Proud !!!!

We ought to get together and lobby the f'in league to return the records before 1984.

AMEN

We need to get Bisciotti and the remaining old Colts on our side to push this. Steve's been around a while now, won a Super Bowl, and is respected. It would be nice if he got the ball rolling.

Good Thought. I bet Steve has tried and it fell on deaf ears....just like he's tried so hard to get Art into the HOF.

I read somewhere that when Baltimore was creating an expansion bid in 1994 the potential ownership group tried to buy the Colts colors and history from the elder Irsay but were denied. Maybe Bisciotti would have more success with the younger Irsay? Or at the very least maybe we could keep the Baltimore Colts history in Baltimore and have it as a separate franchise as both the Colts and Ravens.

Silverbulletbob wanted some outlandish number to sell the history & colors back to us, it was close to 100 million

Modell tried to get it from Otis the drunk Irsay but as Crav said, it was a preposterous price....

Seems to me that 7 or so yrs back we made a plea with the league to get the history returned to Baltimore but the league voted it down....

I'd like to have it back here, but we have already proven, that we won't be stopped, we'll just keep making new champions....

In spite of all the opposition.....We've already doubled what Indy has done even after giving them an 11 yr head start and Peyton Manning....

Hey, "WE ARE THE BALTIMORE RAVENS" and we are here to stay.....

REPEAT......Yee Haw !!!!
