thundercleetz Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Report: Big Ben out against Ravens Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who sustained his fourth concussion in four years last Sunday, will miss this week's game against the Baltimore Ravens, FoxSports.com has reported. That leaves the Steelers with Dennis Dixon as their starting quarterback. Dixon, the third-string option before Charlie Batch broke his left wrist when he came in against Kansas City, has appeared in one game in his two NFL seasons, completing one pass. Roethlisberger, who was having his best season statistically despite the Steelers' erratic play, went through "a normal week" of preparation for the pivotal Sunday night game at Baltimore and had every intention of playing. If this is true, this is the definition of a trap. This is still a tough game, but we NEED to take advantage of this! Quote
Guest BallTMore Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 How about Lou-lou? Is he playing? This will be an ugly game. I can feel it. The Steelers will try to run the ball all day to control the clock. Their defense knows they will have to step up to help win this game, so they'll be fired up. I think to counter that, we'll run the ball a lot too. I don't think Cam wants to give the Steeler's defense any chance to score. Billick-ball all day. Lots of punts. Still, we better not lose to a 3rd-string QB! Quote
geo Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 And when Dixon is out, after several hits and picks.. time for revenge welcome to the NFL mr. Palko.. Joe cool want this one. Quote

thundercleetz Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 Now the Steelers have a list of excuses for when they lose Sunday night. Granted, the excuses are pretty legitimate. That should be none of our concern though. If we win, move on to Green Bay without looking back. If we do not beat the Steelers Sunday night, given these circumstances, we deserve to miss the playoffs. Needless to say, we caught a big break here that we need to take advantage of. Quote
83eh01 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 There is no excuse to lose against a third string QB Gotta hit him hard early I hope the fans make him even more nervous Quote
gsEclipse Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 i'll believe Big Ben is out when I see it with my own eyes tomorrow night. I just find it hard to believe he is gonna miss it when he has been practicing all week. Quote

OutsideRzAcE Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Dixon is as narrow as a toothpick - I question if he can take the pounding Ben takes behind that line. Quote
