millz58 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Bets against the spread is Vegas' game; the pool I'm in is that 'simple', picks ATS each week, and it ain't that easy. weird stuff happens, but it makes sense oakland would beat b/c they've been tougher at home against good teams, dallas had a vendetta on philly for last year's end? betting on single games is a smart man's deal, I only won my pool b/c I could balance overall week goofs v. 'gimmees', like GB covering at AZ with Warner out and GB running game working
cokedupwerewolf Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I've spent most of this year living on 2 game parlays, we get paid out 3-1 instead of the typical 2 1/2. Did very well until week 14 and 15, right now i'm only up about $30. Bama last night was too easy.

I like 2 team pars myself, BUT the NFL has sued Delaware for their Sports Gambling (Vegas has something to do with it) and until they settle their matters, the smallest bet you can make is a 3 team parlay..I went with a 3 team 1/2 pt payback, it carries odds of 6 1/2 to 1
