Money Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 So how do people feel this position should be addressed now (with something like 8 safeties being signed yesterday)? Chris Clemons is my hope. Very good coverage safety that would allow Elam to slide into SS spot. He's also very durable (missing 3 games in 4 years). I've heard the Lions and Jets mentioned as being interested. I believe the Dolphins want him back.
Robjr83 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I heard Clemons is a good underrated player. He only had 1 int last year (4 career) not exactly the ballhawk OZ wants.
GrubberRaven Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 INTs are one thing, keeping the team from scoring is another.
Robjr83 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 What about an older CB that could play FS? They've mentioned names like Bailey or Cromartie. I would only do that if you plan on drafting a FS and need some time to groom him. I was really surprised Huff bombed soooo bad last year. Even if he played average we wouldn't be having this conversation.
thundercleetz Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Any good ball hawking safeties in the draft?
Money Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Any good ball hawking safeties in the draft? Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor are the two best, but it's not a guarantee that one of them makes it to the Ravens. It's not a deep draft for FS this year.
Robjr83 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'm not really crazy about an old vet or a young rookie in the deep secondary.
vmax Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'm not really crazy about an old vet or a young rookie in the deep secondary. Same here. That's a quick way out of the playoffs.
cravnravn Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Same here. That's a quick way out of the playoffs. I think Rod Woodson would tell you different
