TBird Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 According to Eisenberg. I dunno. Article starts out saying he's played more than Flacco. ILMAO.That's because they don't want Joe to get hurt. As far as winning Tyrod runs better than he throws and I'm thinking Ravenskeep Wenning for a future backup. They might try to sneak him on the practice squad or keep 3 QBs. They need them. Rams QB went down for the season over the weekend with ACL.Man, how they're dropping like flies with ACLs. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Ravens-Can-Win-Games-With-Tyrod-Taylor/03fee6c2-b305-4d94-8c70-409cc8ef8fc9 Quote
cravnravn Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 No doubt Tyrod could win a game or two at the helm, but a 16 game season, no way we'd be lucky to win 5 games..Running QB's do not succeed in this league RG-No Knee will be out of this league in the next 3 years Quote
TBird Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 I called that on rg3 and his knee hasn't been the same since Ngata ruined it. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I've never been a "fan" of Eisenburg, so it doesn't shock me he wouldwrite such tripe just to publish an article, get fan talking. Taylor is very inaccurate, even after all this time in the NFL, he still doesn't have the proper mechanics whn NOT under pressure, when pressure is on, they really break down. He doesn't read coverages well, doesn't see the feid well, doesn't seem to have the ability or confidence to look off defenders. Add to that he is more a runner than qb, his slight frame, he would be lucky to make it through 8 games, let alone 16 and I doubt the Ravens could win more than four games with him back there. They keep him around because of all the teams who use the read option, he is a very good scout team quarterback with low salary who does what he is asked. A great team player. Quote

I think that's why Kubes wanted a young strong arm QB and they drafted Wenning latein the draft. Wenning seems to have the strong arm. I bet they keep him. Quote

tsylvester Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 How many terams actually use the read option? Since he came into the league the Ravens have faced a number of teams each year that run a form of the read option & or have running quarterbacks. This, as I said, combined with his cheap contract, yes, even for a back up, and his great attitude keep him around. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 That pick is why TT will not get PT. Quote
