How many battered women stay with and defend their abusers. Idon't know that he has done this a bunch but I also don't know he didn't.

Well since Janay decided to marry Ray Rice, shouldn't it be safe to assume that he has not been a repeat abuser?

No. That is the point. They stay with their abusers even when they have the ability to get away.

But rarely, rarely, are they confident enough to stand up the abuser. If you notice how she reacts and acted when he "spit on her" outside the elevator, and then again inside, it is clear, she is not affraid of him, thus, he likely has never done this before.

....... and then she married him. What are we to assume now?

Wait a minute. You are not allowed to assume around here. That priviledge is reserved exclusively for Papa.

I don't knwo enough about abuser abusee dynamics to be able to determine that. I didn't even know that the meeting that they had where she was sitting with Ray was inappropriate. After they said that was the wrong protocol it made sense to me but I never knew that.

Far from it. Just don't discount the obvious to get to the easy narrative.

No that's not the point. You stated that you assume Ray Rice must be a repeat abuser because he hit Janay twice. Well, Janay married the guy, are we supposed to assume Janay loves being hit twice?

I assume that until it has been determined that she is not a long term victim that she is one. These women stay in these relationships far huge amounts of time. They are beaten countless times. I think the single event victim is the rarity.
