WOW!

Jay Cutler's 2014 season looks to be over, whether he likes it or not.

The Chicago Bears have decided to bench Cutler and will instead have backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen make the start against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move comes just two days after the Bears fell to their third straight loss, 31-15 to the New Orleans Saints.

Although Cutler has set career-highs in completion percentage (66.1) and touchdown passes (28), his league-leading 18 interceptions have given the organization pause. What's worse, Cutler has seemed especially out of sync with his receivers and was even blasted via anonymous comments from offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer.

The move by the Bears casts considerable doubt on Cutler's future with the team. However, Cutler signed a seven-year, $126.7 million last season (h/t spotrac.com) that runs through 2020. He's due to earn $15.5 million in 2015. Cutler has been with the Bears since 2009 and has made just one postseason appearance. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/bears-jay-cutler-benched-jimmy-clausen-to-start-against-lions-121714

They need to jettison the GM who made him the highest paid player in the NFL this year.

Is this unreal!?
