dc. Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Mallett great throw. Aiken great catch. Thread the needle. Announcers: be careful in this two minute still, don't throw a pick, that last one was too close. Do I understand the sentiment? Yes. Does Brady or Manning get the same warning, though? I also get that Mallett is not either of those guys by a long shot... But sad that both announcers immediate thought is "well, you got lucky on that one... wouldn't try it again!"
Spen Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I know its illogical and undefendable but I actually find myself thinking Mallett is as good as Flacco.
vmax Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I know its illogical and undefendable but I actually find myself thinking Mallett is as good as Flacco. It's certainly worth discussion. Until now he wasn't close, but if he has his shit together, then he's a very gifted thrower. He can whale a football.
dc. But I'm still struck by the number of actual catches taking place by our receivers. I know some will argue us because of Mallett, but I mean just on actual catchable balls in general...

vmax Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 There's the deadly INT. Huge wasted opportunity for 3rd quarter opening drive. Spen....you cursed him.
