TBird Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 You realize that the schedule the Ravens play and the Squealers except 2 games in every season. Do you understand how the schedule is even put together? No matter how much you want to ignore it the Ravens beat a bunch of bad teams last yr. This yr the AFCN pulled the murderers row or the AFC and NFC west. And you ignored the fact that this year the Ravens had the 2d toughest schedule in the league for the first 7 games. Theywent 2-5 for those games but lost each game in the last 2-3 mins, Sun's game in the last second andall by 1 play. After 7 games they were 5 plays and 15 mins from being a perfect team with all thoseguys in the hospital vs the likes of Denver, Cinci and Piss. Rebuild you say? ILMAO. That's what you dont understand. The schedule comes out by the league office and it's supposed to be based with the better teamsgetting the harder schedules and the worse teams getting the easier ones. In theory it gives thebad teams a chance to move up while the stronger get weaker but it doesnt work out that waybecause the NFL gives its favorite teams like NE and Piss easy schedules after winning SBs. Ravens boards did a lot of bitching over the years with the Squeelers easy schedules all those timeswhile the Ravens constantly got harder ones. Quote
TBird Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 OK, talking about schedules, I found this schedule strength for this season andRavens have 11th toughest schedule this year. Piss has the toughest at # 1. ugh! NE has 22th toughest after winning the SB. They're suppose to have the toughest Dallas which gets into the POs comes out with 24th toughest schedule so go figure. They are also the two glamour teams of the NFL so the league helps the out here. Last year they got the easiest schedule in the leauge based on the 2013 season.See link in next post. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25066031/2015-nfl-strength-of-schedule-steelers-at-no-1-falcons-at-no-32 Quote
TBird Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Granted, last year Ravens had 5th easiest schedule playing easy teams in bothAFC and NFC but also had tough games in Indy and others. They also played the entire year with either one of the best CBs out or both at the sametime. They started a new Safety as well and the not so hot former #1 draft pick - Elam. Ravens had more players on the IR list at one time than any other team and still made thePOs and as mentioned above, NE had to cheat, bend the rules and use trickerly on abanged up defense which blew 2 TD leads - twice in second half with a CB who wasnteven playing football a week before the playoffs. They started an undrafted rookie at LT for the first time ever in a Wild Card game and wonand used a 4th round pick, Crockett Gilmore to ice that game with a late TD on a crossingpatter that fooled Squeelers for their first ever PO victory on the road in that town. Theywere expecting Ravens to run the board to go for the FG. NE had another easy schedule on its way to the SB. Dallas had the easiest. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/4/23/5642204/2014-nfl-schedule-raiders-broncos-colts-panthers Quote
RavenMad Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 You do realise the schedule is set based on last year's record? The NFL can't get into predicting who is going to be good the next year and set the schedule accordingly. The only thing people can argue about is the fairness in when away games are scheduled especially when cross country games are scheduled. Quote
TBird Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Right, thats what I said. NE should have the toughest schedule this year as the champsbut have a much easier schedule. Pissburgh has it the toughest after losing the wild card game to Ravens. NE and Dallas both have had easy schedules the last two years but its now based on the record for them. That is the point. papasmurfbell Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 http://www.fbschedules.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens.phpOK since it is all about last yrs record then how is it that the Ravens schedule is mostly set through 2019? Quote

Sorry partly set on record. You see where we got Jacksonville and Miami this year from the AFC East. We finished 3rd in the AFC North last year so we get the 3rd placed teams from the AFC East and South. If we had finished 1st or 2nd we would have got NE or BUF and IND or HOU. Everything else is rotational. Every 4 years we will get the NFC West. Sometimes you luck into a division being down in any given year and end up with a weak SOS. Sometimes you run a gauntlet with a 4 team playoff calibre division. No conspiracy in opponents. The dates those opponents are scheduled is open to intepretation however. Quote
cravnravn Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 It doesn't matter, from weeks 6 on we had a *** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy *** schedule. Losing to Cleveland, San Fran, Jacksonville is just a disgraceful. Can't wait for the egg we lay in Miami. 1 Quote
