Ravens Master Finding Ways To Lose

vmax

Recommended Posts

Let's start with the Ravens front office. They said the theme for this season would be 20 years of Ravens football.

They didn't tell us that to commemorate this, they would field a team exactly like or worse than the '96 Ravens.

Liars.

On a day when the defense finally shows up, Joe Flacco and Special Teams decide to open the 2nd half with 4 straight turnovers!0036837_2988_MC_T.jpg

3 great special Teams returns, that would have shifted field position dramatically, were called back due to ignorant, lack of discipline penalties.

It's my fault. At the half I sent crav a text saying all the Ravens have to do is not turn the ball over, not commit stupid penalties and run the ball and they win.

Stan White gets some blame too. In the 4th quarter, on the radio, he brought up the fact that the Jaguars hadn't won a road game in their last 587 games.

Kiss of Death.

The next to last play of the game was the most disgusting way to find how to lose. Time had run out IMO, and the only shot....THE ONLY SHOT! the Jags had was an unnecessary roughness penalty.

Dumervil obliged dishonoring the #58 that he wore on Pete's big day back home.

It's 1996, and this 53 man roster has no clue or guts or want to....... to play Ravens football.

Just undisciplined slop.

The penultimate play basically summed up the season. We look like the Browns out there. That is probably the biggest insult we can take from this season. We seem to find new ways to lose each week. Oh well.......let's talk about the draft I guess. We can look forward to a nice high draft pick so we don't have to wait until the end of the 1st round for Ozzie to trade out.

I guess, I don't want to give up on this season, or maybe I don't want to face the fact that we have to renegotiate Joe's contract. There could be a lot of finger pointing from both sides.

A complete team loss, even Tucker is playing him self into a low contract. Those calling for Joe to go, need only look to Green Bay and Aaron Rogers, how has he done the past 3 weeks. How about Manning more picks than completions and he was benched? even Brady, two fumbles, one lost, a pick(should have been two)....

Maybe now, finally, the front office and coaching staff wakes up and stops this; we are close thinking, and gets some real plans done to fix this team. Get rid of Dumervil, while it would cause $4 mil in dead money, they will save $2 mil in cap space. Yippie, has has had some good sack numbers the past few years. But none in the play offs, none in the 4th quarter of games when this team needs a stop. He is terrible against the run, so ditch him.

That last play Max, quarterback falls down, all the defenders stand around like the play had been called dead. Then Dume strikes......

I don't care what they have to do, but get some one in here who knows how to evaluate and teach receivers.....

Ditch both coordinators, we know all about Pees.... Yesterday proved Tresman has to go. One of the fastes men in the NFL and they don't use him to spread the field, open the middle, to go deep but on one play? They force feed a receiver who would be fourth best on any other team trying to turn him into a Boldin type receiver, which leads to three dropped passes, one ended up being picked off. He can't find the ball on deep throws, let a lone fight for the ball.

This mantra of throwing it deep into double coverage to draw a penalty has to stop; that is not on Joe, is it a mandate from the coaches.

I am not sure who Harbs was fighting with on the sideline, one of the coaches, but some major changes have to to be made and if Harbs doesn't like it, maybe he needs to go.

He has not learned anything about game management since he came here. I like him, I think he should stay, but I can see reasons to let him go too....

This is a two-three year rebuild. We have an offensive & defensive line, a quarterback, at least two runningbacks, now fix the rest.

Just on Harbs. There is a lot of smoke linking him with the USC job. Apparently his representatives even enquired about a financial package and his wife is interested in living in Southern California. There were talks held during the 49ers week. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Things haven't felt right since Ozzie and Biscuit threw Harbs under the bus during the Rice fiasco.

Fully starting over is needed now.

More trolling comments who doesn't know football like 80% of the team missing

practice after the Cleve game because they were injured. Many were in the

hospital. They lost Jimmy Smith last year and Suggs this year.

Ravens were in the POs just 9 months ago winning in Pissburgh and just missed the

SB with a banged up secondary and a lot of cheating, bending the rules and trickery

at the right time to beat them.

There's no need to rebuild. Just fill in the spots in the secondary where needed, find some

weapons for Joe and they'll be OK. They should be back in next year after a great draft picking

at the top instead of at the bottom all those years. Elam was a pick from the bottom after

winning the SB.

Ravens missed the POs in 04 and 05 and got back into them and championship game

in 06 vs Indy. Ravens had the better team but Billick was clearly out coached by Dungy

and didn't run Jamal in 2d when Jamal begged him to.

In 2014 the Ravens beat only one team during the regular season that had a winning record (Steelers) and overall their 10 wins were against teams with a combined record of 60-99-1. Since the Ravens (5-2) start to the 2014 campaign, thanks in large part to the good fortune of playing the extremely weak NFC South, the Ravens have gone (8-12).

More trolling comments but it was time for them to get a break. After Squeelers won the

SB they got an easier schedule. After Ravens won SB 35 they were forced to open the

season on the road in the Denver when the Champs always open at home. That was

because of 911 but they still won.

The Ravens have been one of the most dominant teams over the past 15 years and

still made the POs last year after missing a year after making it 5 straight years. Yea,

it was about time they got an easy sechule like

Squeelers and NE always but they beat Piss in a land mark game with the first ever undrafted

LT that ever started a wild card game and won. They iced the game with a late TD from

another rookie who took the injured PItta's place at TE. Squeelers own fans said, imagine

us starting a wild card game with an undrafted rookie.

They won the game with their star Jimmy Smith out the entire year and most of the

secondary. They started a DB in Piss and won with a guy who wasn't even playing football

the week before.

They just missed going to the SB last year and NE had to do all that cheating, trickery

and bending of the rules with most of the secondary in the hospital, a patched up O-line,

and only 2 weapons and that banged up defense gave up a 2 TD lead twice in the

second half and you're saying we have to rebuild.

Ravens still had a 10 win season to get in the SB easy schedule or no easy schedule

and with most of the team in the hospital which you forget.

It was about time they got an easy schedule.

And you keep forgetting or dont know that your beloved NE is in an easy candy bar division

with no competition every single year and the best QB and coach in the game and they

still have to cheat the Ravens to get in to the SB.

Like I said, just fix the secondary, get a LB that can cover, a guy to pressure the

QB and a WR or two and this team is back. And drafting high for a change will help Ozzie

get them. Ravens won all those years drafting at or near the bottom like Elam at the very bottom.

You also omitted the fact of all the injuries this year which have attributed to our dismal season

like Suggs and Elvis at one time, Pitta and Perriman (never), our 2 biggest weapons on offense this

side of Steve Smith who is now down plus the injuries to the oline early on. SR would have scored

that TD that Givens missed so we'd have one more win there.

You also omitted the entire secondary being damaged last year but still got into POs with a

banged up unit.

No, the Ravens won't rebuild because they don't have to.

No need to rebuild.

I agree with TBird somewhat. We need to get at least 1 top class WR and a 2nd if SS does in fact retire. We are set at TE. We are ok on the O-Line. We are ok at RB.

On D we need a pass rusher, a cover LB and at least 2 corners.

Getting all that in 1 off season might be tough but that's not a massive list of needs either.

You realize that the schedule the Ravens play and the Squealers except 2 games in every season. Do you understand how the schedule is even put together?

No matter how much you want to ignore it the Ravens beat a bunch of bad teams last yr. This yr the AFCN pulled the murderers row or the AFC and NFC west.

Ravens have missed at least 3 SBs because Ravens didn't have a blue chip receiver. Ozzie does well

in signing slot guys like Mason, Bolding and SR but not a true #1 WR.

Someone said the D showed up? They must have left early because Elvis had the face mask

penalty on the last play of the game putting enough time on the clock for the winning FG.

When have we ever had blue chip recievers? 1996 I'd say, 2000 we had Shannon Sharpe but he was on his down side.

Don't know if you heard Mike n Mike Tuesday morning? Greenberg was livid after the officials made the admission that they blew the call and we should have won. He said it wouldn't have happened in the giants/Pats game but because it happened between two 2-6 teams it will be brushed under the rug.
