vmax Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Paul "Nightmare on Russell Street" Kruger looked good getting 1.5 sacks.I liked what I saw from Cody. He's not Sam Adams but maybe in a couple of years he will be. Sloppy game...too many penalties...fumbles...missed assingments by the O line...back up QB play was shoddy. Graham was good on the kick offs. Travis Fisher and Williams covered well against 2nd tier WR's. Zibby was a beast...Nakamura too. How about Dickson...nice game. Nice to see Joe Cool with his new toys. I feel less excited about trading Willis after watching Palmerlie and Steele....huge talant drop off. I think they will be best served by holding onto Willis. cravnravn Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 The penalty's irked the hell out of me we were hit with 8 yesterday. Im not keen with the idea of Cody in the backfield, Ngata yes since he has experience carrying the ball. Was that Pryce, Ngata and Cody on the front line for 1 play?? goodgooglymoogly that was beefesque. Man, Joe has matured, this is HIS team, he has total control of the O, its great to see, it reminds me of another great qb in Baltimore from years ago. Totally impressed with Willis, what a great series of 3 straight screens to Willis for positive yardage, then lored the D in only to hit Clayton with the bomb.. Leary of our DB's.... Quote
52isUnstoppable Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 -Flacco looked relatively sharp, still impressed at his arm strength every throw. -Oline needs to improve in pass blocking, as im sure they will. -Mcgahee was a beast on those screen passes and like max said there is a big drop off in talent after him. Should he be traded I see McClain as #2 and that dude mcClaughin (who seriously should be tested for roids) as FB Troy smith looked terrible, even though he was playing with that terrible oline he still didnt impress me -I like zbi on KR/PR but not if has to start for us at safety. -Kundiff put the ball on the endline of the endzone on the first KO -Hard to get a lot of info on the corners in limited action. - we have 1,000,000 Linebackers, trade some - Boldins deep routes are gonna give mason the easiest season of his life. He is gonna put up better numbers than anquan. - Clayton actually has real competition to push him to improve now with boldin and stallworth- prince broke 8 tackles on his PR, even if it was a ragged special teams unit they still touched him 8 times before they got him down- Cody has potential to be DROY if he keeps at it. He threw their starting center right into the backfield with his right hand while using his left hand to sack moore. On another play he got in the backfield on a run play and basically slapped the RB in the forehead with his outstretch arm and the RB fell backwards when he was going forwards full speed. The guy is a gonna be a monster Quote
colincac Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Only saw highlights and still waiting for a chance to watch the game on TiVo, but I'm so jacked from what I saw from Cody. I was ecstatic about that pick, and thus far it looks to be paying off. Also really happy to see Willis playing well because we need to deal him or one of our LB's for a CB and have McClain play backup HB. Quote
