vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Do the Ravens make the playoffs if they win out? Quote
ForceEight Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 As long as the Jets win the AFC East. If the Dolphins or Pats win, and the Jets still win out, we will not. Quote
vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 (edited) As long as the Jets win the AFC East. If the Dolphins or Pats win, and the Jets still win out, we will not. I don't get it Force. The Jets are still the East leaders....so if they win out they should be the leaders then too...right? Edited December 15, 2008 by vmax Quote
cravnravn Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Who gives a flying fuck??? we run this same bullshit f*cking offence we dont deserve shit.. Quote
vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Espn says the Ravens would be in as a wild card if the season ended today. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3711069 So if they win out, that should hold...right? Quote

The Jets are still the East leaders....so if they win out they should be the leaders then too...right? I didn't think of that. You're totally right. If the Jets win out, they win the division. And that means the Dolphins would have lost a game, anyway. So, yes. We're huge Brett Favre fans here for two weeks. They play the Bills and Dolphins. Quote

And we need buffalo to beat NE just in case we don't win next week. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Fuck ESPN, they also said that the 1958 Colts belonded to Tony Dungy...Fucking Assholes Quote
vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 We may not have to be Jets fans.... But wait...if the Pats, Phish and Ravens win out...Ravens are in due to tiebreakers...Right. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 We may not have to be Jets fans.... But wait...if the Pats, Phish and Ravens win out...Ravens are in due to tiebreakers...Right. Yes. We have a tiebreaker over the Dolphins and Patriots, and that would leave the Jets a game behind us. Quote
vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 What I want to hear out of this conversation is that the Ravens still control their destiny. They just have to win out and not rely on anything else. Can somebody tell me that's true? Quote
RavensNest8483 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Yes. We have a tiebreaker over the Dolphins and Patriots, and that would leave the Jets a game behind us. Lets just fuckin win out and we will be in. Quote
vmax Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Gary Stein on the radio just said the Ravens still control their destiny...meaning win out and we're in. That takes some of the sting out of todays loss. Quote
Guest BallTMore Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 If we win-out, we're in. I think we can do it. Unless Cam Cameron keeps playing scared against tough defenses, (Wash, NY, Pittsburgh) then we won't win out. The run, run, pass play-calling was pretty bad today. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Yeah, like I said, we're in if we win. We shouldn't have expected a win today. we really shouldn't have. But after seeing what happened, it should have been ours. That's the real bite. Quote
dapetes Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Cameron let me down today. I thought Billick was doing the play calling. It was scary like deja vu. I kept waiting for things to get better it never did though. It was the most boring Ravens game this year. I don't mind losing but for gods sake keep the playcalling exciting. I thought in the second half he'll open up the offense that never happened. Billick was there right. Quote
52isUnstoppable Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 The run, run, pass play-calling was pretty bad today. agreed. The one time we went play action on first down was almost a 60 yard TD. You would think we would switched it up a little bit. I guess Cam thought the pounding of mcclain would wear them down for the 4th. Quote

If Baltimore wins out, we are in, it doesn't matter what the jets, NE, or Miami does. It also looks like, if we lose, against dallas, and NE loses against Arizona we are still in. Even if Jets and Miami win out. I'm a big kurt warner fan this week! Quote
