papasmurfbell Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 They are very good. There are no great teams in the NFL this yr. This is the most wide open PO in memory. The Rams, Pats, Saints, Vikes, and Stealers all had about the same shot of winning it all.
tsylvester Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 So will the Vikes be the first team in history to host the SB? They stand a great shot at beating Phili...
papasmurfbell Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 The NFC rep was who won Sunday night.
vmax Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Jaguars following script of the Ravens' 2000 Super Bowl-winning team.....................http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/42541/jaguars-following-script-of-the-ravens-2000-super-bowl-winning-team
tsylvester Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Rolf, I don't think the Ravens defense ever gave up that total pts in the playoffs that Jax gave up in one game alone.... I could be wrong.....
papasmurfbell Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 Did they take their foot off the gas? Yes. Marone or someone made the call to pull it back. But in the end they won.
vmax Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 The Ravens gave up 23 points total in 3 playoff games and 1 Super Bowl. The held the #1 offense to 3 points. They held the #1 rushing offense to 32 yards. The Giants O put up 45 points in their championship game. 0 points in the Super Bowl. The Giants OC?Shawn Peyton. Nobody could have pushed the Ravens D around like the Steelers did to the Jags.
papasmurfbell Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 It says a lot when you have to look back into the past to look for good things.
tsylvester Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Nobody was looking to the past, just shutting down a lame compariaon to one of the greatest defenses of all time. Also, Jax took their foot off the gas? Hardly, they rarely blitz, yet still were among the top in pressure because of their front 4. That is the edge they have in this game, Brady's line is not very good & he is not mobile. Add to that the likely hood he has a cut on his throwing hand requiring stiches, and the Jags could win this game. Pats defense not good against the run, Jags can run the ball well including Bortles. This could be a Jags victory..

tsylvester Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 So if Jax wins, does that embolden Ozzie to think that he needs to keep building the defense and stop investing in offense? This season of super bowl contenders is really an aborition, but will he see it that way? If Pats are not in it, I would bet this will be the lowest rated super bowl ever...
papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 With the Minneapolis Miracle I think a lot of ppl will be interested.
