GrubberRaven Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Well, I just saw those and I like numbers. Joe Flacco's first 3 career games: 450 passing yards, 2 INTs, 1 TD, 3 fumbles, 34 rushing yards, 2-1 record Lamar Jackson's first 3: 453 passing yards, 3 INTs, 1 TD, 5 fumbles, 265 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 3-0 record Quote
oldno82 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Lamar is a rookie and has a lot to learn. Right now he makes typical rookie qb mistakes. After he has his first injury he's either going to have to learn how to pass in a consistent manner or he won't make it through his rookie contract without being cut. I sure hope somebody in the F.O. or coaching staff is aware of the risks he's making running 17 times a game and is going to take him under their wing. IF he'll listen. Quote
vmax Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) The Ravens have to ride the Lamar Train until somebody derails it.They have no choice. It's too late in the season and each game is a must win scenario. We have to hope that Lamar survives this season intact, physically. Then they can design an offense for him, develop him as a passer, coach him on how to survive physically and even design an offense that will limit his exposure to injury. It can still be exciting and unpredictable....just not as outrageous as what we are seeing. Right now it's fun to watch and totally different from anything we've seen as Ravens fans. Yet Lamar needs to be able to play 16+ games every season. He's learning and I'm good with that. You can't learn much on the bench. Mental reps is bullshit. You learn by doing. And us?Win or lose, we need to hang in a support this team. They are balling their butts off through all kinds of change and adversity. Edited December 3, 2018 by vmax Quote
