Just when you thought Davis’ issues couldn’t get any worse, it turns out the one-time slugger is just a few games away from potentially setting another Major League low. His 0-for-38 streak dating back to last season leaves him just 11 outs away from tying the worst slump in MLB history. Former San Francisco Giants infielder Eugenio Velez went 46 straight at bats without a hit bridging the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Perhaps if he took a walk in the woods to collect his thoughts..........

The simple fact is, all this 22-year-old has done since entering the league is charm his teammates, win over his coaches, make spectacular plays, get better by the week and, oh yeah, win football games (now 7-2 in starts, including the playoffs). He has been a beacon in the community, with a natural joy about him and a positive energy you can see in the clips of his interactions with young fans at training camp.

He did it!

He set a new MLB record!

The Orioles first baseman went hitless in his first three at-bats against the Athletics and is now 0-for-47 at the plate dating back to September 14, 2018. He's hitless in 26 at-bats this season.

With that, Davis broke the record for consecutive hitless at-bats by a non-pitcher. Eugenio Velez also went hitless in 46 straight at-bats with the Giants and Dodgers from 2010-11........https://www.msn.com/...Kz&ocid=U508DHP

Over the years the Orioles pride themselves on getting into the record books with these kinds of accomplishments.
