deeshopper Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I have weather alerts in my mailbox time stamped at 3:01 am, and you mean to tell me that this storm caught you by suprise?? 1hr 45 minute drive and not 1 snow plow did I see, not 1 bit of road touched.. Jeeesh, get on the ball here, ITS WINTER!! Everything is closed. And considering the meteorologists said yesterday evening that the snow would start this afternoon and into Thursday morning, I'm not mad at 'em! Quote
cravnravn Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Whats going to suck is, I let the drivers go home already, so if we shut down that means I have another trek in this "stuff" I hope Harford Co is done with their coffee break and actually put down a blade. Quote
Spen Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I was amazed when I got up and everything was covered.....I didnt expect anything until this afternoon. Quote
dc. Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Everytime I turn around, the predictions are getting worse. Temps must be dropping a bit. Regardless - streets are more clear now than before. But I heard we could be getting 2 inches an hour at PM rush hour. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I was shocked a 5 this morning seeing a bunch of snow. Quote
ForceEight Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 A 40 minute drive at 6AM took 1 hour and 45 minutes. 702 was terrible, and so were all the intermediate roads on the east side. Ridiculous. If it's not the SHA (or county, whatever) screwing up, it's the meteorologists screwing up. No one can get it right this year. Quote
deeshopper Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 A 30-minute drive (this morning) took 2 hours this evening. Howard County was the worse. 32 and 29 (which was shut down at the MoCo line) were just awful. Quote
Spen Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I had my power go out for a few hours, always fun. Quote
cravnravn Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 I had my power go out for a few hours, always fun. I dreaded that, for one thing Im out of firewood... This is not a good snow, its extremely heavy, it snapped my Ravens flag, not the pole itself but at the metal base.. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Hey I was listening to the radio last night. People had been on the road for 5 hrs. That sucks. Quote
