cravnravn Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 9 years I've been in Florida and haven't heard a one, now it's cicadas everywhere. Noisy bastards, don't miss that sound. And when I catch one they will be tied to the fishing hook like old times. I know someone shipped a box down full of cicadas..:) Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Hell you should have heard it in June Quote
deeshopper Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I was down there last weekend and shocked to hear them so loud. Not as loud as the 17 year cicadas up here, but dang! Quote
cravnravn Posted September 9, 2021 Author Posted September 9, 2021 Me too... I haven't heard them down here..But they cranking up now Quote
vmax Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 All kinds of insects are migrating up and down the coast and appearing in new places. Nature's all fucked up and out of balance, Hurricane Larry will bring feet of snow to Greenland. Never heard of a hurricane doing that. Quote

He went surf fishing and sent me a picture of a fish that usually don't travel up to the Maryland area. He caught a Pompano. They tend to stay down here in florida and maybe up to Georgia. Quote
