papasmurfbell Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Kiss any chance at winning a sb good bye. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Gross to say. Little man throws a tantrum and gets his way. Oh well, if AZ will pay it, might as well capitalize...Murray is nothing without talent around him...good luck affording that talent. Quote
tsylvester Posted July 25, 2022 Author Posted July 25, 2022 Hey, the kid can play, if you want a real passing game to set up a run game, this is the price you pay. Gone, perhaps, are the days when an average qb, solid running game and top 3 defense are going to win a Super Bowl with any consistency. We shall see but this is the price you pay for dynamic quarterbacks. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 You still dont win a SB with a QB going into the 13% of the cap. There is a reason why it is won in rookie deals and when a vet is traded and the new team doesnt have to account for the bonus money. Quote
tsylvester Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 Interesting, his deal includes a clause that requires him to do 4 hours of film study, outside of the practices or else the deal can be canceled. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Yeah I saw that on 1st take. Cold leaking that. Quote
tsylvester Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 Eh, 4 hours a week, what's that 30 minutes per day? Seems pretty simple. Shoot back when I was writing about football I did far more than that per day/week. If any young qb, college or pro is not doing that, maybe they don't belong... Quote

Weight claues, dangerous activity clauses all exist in players' contracts, this is just like them. Leave it to the media to make a mountain out of a mole hill.. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Jamarcus Russell comes to mind when this came out. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Murray, supposedly, has openly said he doesn't watch much film. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/07/25/kyler-murray-admitted-last-year-that-he-doesnt-spend-extensive-time-watching-film/ Reading media bias/sensationalism is exhausting. If I want to read that, I just look to Papa's posts. Quote

Have Ray Lewis looking over his shoulder as a film teacher? It's pretty easy to track how long a person is logged onto a system, now, how could they determine exactly what else a person is doing at the same time? Maybe they realized that they couldn't find a way to properly track him with out cameras in his house..? Maybe they caved after the outrage by the media and fans, what will they clamor for next, make teams take out weight clauses, or dangerous activity clauses? Seems to me a team has a right to put stipulations in contracts especially if said team is going to pay out that much money. If the player really objects, don't sign.. Murray signed, likely knowing that there was no way to truly track him and, conspiracy nut time, maybe so he could leak it to the press and get the subsequent outrage on his side to get it removed....
