Hear me out... yes I know the Ravens don't really have the cap room but hey, they could make room.

With no one really stepping up in the middle linebacker position for, well, since Lewis left. Queen has been a big disappointment, even with the move from mike to sam. Bynes has been serviceable, but he is aging and limited.

Smith is 25, a good 8 years left in his tank. He tackles very well, strong in run support, covers the middle in pass coverage very well and, he knows how to get to and take down quarterbacks for key sacks.

I know, a pipe dream, but a few draft picks, maybe a player, they need tight ends, shoot, toss in Queen if need be...

Queen and a 3rd rounder.  How much time is left on his deal?

I don't think they could make cap room for any other star players if they don't sign Lamar to a new contract. But, yep, it is a nice dream.
