tsylvester Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 If the running game sustains, and the defense keeps making drive stopping plays, then all that is needed is a passing game to augment, to fill in, to keep drives alive. Sure the big pass play is exciting, helps to infuse life into the team. But a 7-8 minute drive ending in a touchdown, now, that does as well and keeps the defense rested, the other offense off of the field. I know, I know this isn't the 2000 Ravens defense, they have laspes in coverage, miss tackles, don't get consistent pressure on the pocket. Even when they do, they tend to lose containment, etc... But if they can clean up the redzone on offense, score tds instead of field goals, maybe, just maybe.... 1 Quote
