According to The Carroll County Times, the Ravens have agreed to terms with offensive tackle Mark LeVoir.

Aaron Wilson reports that LeVoir, 29, tried out for the Ravens on Saturday along with former Tennessee Titans lineman Jason Murphy.

LeVoir started two games over three seasons for the New England Patriots. The 6-foot-7, 310-pounder was released by the Patriots after refusing to take a paycut.

I'm not really sure what this means beyond further confirmation that the Oneil Cousins tackle experiment is official done. I guess it gives the Ravens some security if Ried's progress stalls.

They can start Ried, they can start this guy, or they can keep Cousins at Guard and start Yanda at tackle.

Thats how I see it too unless this guy functioned at a high level for the Pats. Sounds like NE wasn't just cutting him, they were trying to save money.

Yeah good news on the fact they still wanted him, just wanted to pay him less as a backup. He has a good chance of being better than Reid/Cousins given that news. I still NEED to see the Ngata deal done. We do that and we can bring in Stinchcomb/McKinnie. You can't tell me one of them wouldn't be a clear upgraded at RT.

Max Starks is still available as well after being released by Pitt. He has started a ton of games for the Steelers the past few years. He's not a stud, but he's capable and has playoff experience.

If Levoir shows this week that he can play and succeed, I'd like to keep him. Good offensive lineman are a short commodity and so important.
