oldno82 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Well, guys, it was awful! The offense stunk, the defense stunk, and the special teams weren't so hot either. The Ravens came out flat and I blame the coaching staff for that. Despite all the stuff we heard about the Ravens never letting down, they sure let down today. The running game was inconsistent. The passing game was way off for Flacco, the receivers, the pass protection, and the play calling. The defense looked outclassed by Matt Hasselback---no excuse for that. I think we gave up close to 350 yards passing to the Titans. Hasselback killed us with quick passes that exposed our lack of coverage. The CBs were lousy and even Ed Reed didn't play well. We can't afford another effort like that this season. We've already given up the one game advantage we had on Pittsburgh. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 We've already given up the one game advantage we had on Pittsburgh. That's the biggest thing to me. An in-conference loss that all but nullifies the big win over Pittsburgh last week. We all thought it was a possibility, but it still sucks to see it happen. Lee Evans looked like he was giving 50% effort out there. He wasnt finishing his blocks and his cuts were weak. If that's the best he can do with his injury then there is no point in playing him. What is there to say about the secondary? Webb and Williams looked average. Foxworth is beyond a liability, and Ed seemed to be a step late all day. Flacco - He had time but still couldn't make any significant connections with receivers. I don't know if it was the receivers fault or his. Quote
vmax Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Put the Little Sisters of the Poor in a cover 2 and the Ravens offense will totally stall. Quote
Spen Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I cannot think of anyone on the team who jumps out as having played well today. Quote
vmax Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Chris Johnson didn't run for shit...that's a 'stretching it' positive. Ravens running game was worse. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Chris Johnson didn't run for shit...that's a 'stretching it' positive. We played a very crappy Steelers Oline last week. All the pressure on Rothlisberger made our secondary look good. Today no pressure = secondary exposed. We are in deep shit if Matt Hasselbeck can beat our D w/o a running game. Quote

Then again his receivers were open from the snap. Quote
yagersports Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Just pathetic period. Joe says he's a top five QB! Bullshit! A top 5 QB does not allow that to happen. If he lost in a shootout I could understand, but what the hell did he do to "will" this team to victory despite the bad play. Every season, a team lays at least one egg. Hopefully there won't be too many more of these. And for cryin out loud can we put some plays in the playbook to beat the cover 2. Honestly, it's getting old. Quote
