Guest bhaller87 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Why did we keep Foxworth and let Wilson go? Terrible decision. Quote
vmax Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 It sure was. I think it was 2 things that kept Foxworth here:1. The CAP hit the Ravens would take.2. He was a key player rep in the off season. When negotiations were over, he publicly stated how he and his wife were prepared for the NFL to retaliate by him getting let go. Since he plays for the Ravens, that put them on the hot seat. If they cut him, then it would look like is was for spite. The media would have ran with it. They wouldn't let up.Foxworth black mailed them. In short, the cost to let Foxworth go was too high. Quote
Guest bhaller87 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I figured it had something to do with him being a player rep but what a horrible reason to keep an overpaid player. What would the cap hit be? If it's lower than his salary they should of released him. Should of released him anyway damnit Josh Wilson was a playmaker im tired of this weak ass secondary. Quote
Dunno Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I think the main problem with Foxworth is that he isn't healthy. He never should have come off PuP when he did and once that was done, there was no way of undoing it even when (if?) they realized their mistake. Quote

Sooooo, we put someone on the field that cant help the team, because someone in the FO screwed up and back loaded Foxworths contract? Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Like i've said before. This is Ozzie's worst deal as a GM. Now I agree with Dunno that he is hurt, but even when healthy I don't think he is better than a nickel and we are paying him like a #1. Quote
yagersports Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Fox will be a contributer in week 7 or 8, he's being asked to do more than he should right now due to injuries. Quote
