papasmurfbell Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Maybe not. I expect him to be gone next yr. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 From Jeff Z Ravens have waived veteran S Eddie Jackson and signed ILB Kristian Welch to active roster. Jackson wasn't pleased by reduced role. Frustrations boiled over Steelers week and he didn't accompany team on trip. He's now released. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 Just popped on to say, first quarter, already two 15 yard penalties Quote
oldno82 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 What did you think when Harbs went for it on 4th and 1 from the 17 yard line? Quote
tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 Nice to wake up to a victory! Still going over the game, made it to throw 2 pt try, another failed one. This one is on Lamar, he had, as he rolled out, Flowers and Andrews open. I know that the play is designed to throw back to Likely, but, take what is in front of you. There is a reason Flowers and Andrews were both open in the zone coverage. Any who, back to the game Quote
tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 Great job on 3rd down for the offense, 8 of 15, 3 of 3 on 4th too boot. The defense is clearly in Deqn Pees mode, bemd but don't break, which always leads to a team scoring pts to end a half, ridiculous. 9 Penalties, for 102 yards, unacceptable, especially the 15 yarders.. Another let down by the special teams, this time it was only a big return, thankfully. 4 sacks, 3 punts, a road victory against a good AFC team. Quote

tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 Great throw and catch by Bateman just before half, woza.. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 The reporters really need to get better questions, more diverse questions, come on, what does it mean to have Derick Henry, really? As if he hasn't answered that question before.... Quote
oldno82 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I don't think Harbs made a good call there on 4th down but I will say it did wake up the team when they made it. The announcers just plain sucked...and I detected a pro-LA bias to boot. Hell even my wife didn't think they were up to other announcing crews. To me, the best pair is Tony Romo and Jim Nantz. Finally, I'll say this: I think the Ravens could beat any team if they could just cut down shooting themselves in the foot with penalties. Some of that, but far from all, was on the Refs too. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 Yeah, that first one, tripping, or as they HAD to call it, "leg whipping", technically correct but seriously?! Had Riccard touched him, okay, had it been more a obvious, okay. But come on, defenders do this regularly when they get knocked down, the ball carrier is about to speint past them and it is rarely called. Quote

Once you get a reputation for being penalized, it seems ticky-tacky things will get called you more than other teams. Quote

Richard didn’t actually touch him and that is the rule. So it was a bad call. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 Riccard must have: "had malice in his heart" remember that call? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Then we shall not talk of Sunday nights game and what I said. Quote
