Na thanks, this team, last year under Monken, had one of the top offenses in the NFL. Even in 2023, thanks in large part to Lamar, the team was top in rushing, 4th down & third down conversions, redzone, for 2 freaking straight years.

So the only question is, and one I have asked, many still ask, what the blue blazes happened this year?

Lamar was extremely accurate, poised in the pocket, made good decisions, the past 2 years, then after the Bills game, the wheels came off, of everyone.

Fix the line, that is the only physical change that was made; one guard position.

We know that the line, even a promising player at tackle, had a major fall back in progress. There is only 1 reason for all of the players to play so poorly; the coach.

So, for me, the line coach, the defensive coordinator, because that defense is anything but consistent, not in 2 years. 

If Harbs won't fire both coaches then he goes, though I like rhe idea of him going anyway.

I am not thrilled about losing Todd, but with a change in head coach I guess the writing would be on the wall. I also hear the he is a top candidate for the Michigan job, so maybe he gets away from all of these Sally sad sacks and heads up north.

You can’t fix the line fast.  Also I believe Lamar has eroding skills.  I don’t see them coming back.  So I would start over.

There's a lot of uncertainty on the 'what's wrong with Lamar' question. I think his body is giving out rapidly and he is not taking care of it as conscientiously as many pro football players do these days. He probably needs to get stronger and eat better and get to bed earlier. Something I did not know is that the reason the team has afternoon practices in the summer in the heat of the day, is that Lamar is a late riser because he's up too late. So the Ravens adjusted the team schedule to suit him. That's not the right answer.

Yes as a minimum the O-line coach & D-coordinator must go though I too would like to see the end of the Harbaugh era here even if it means losing Monken.

I don't have high hopes that the current personnel on the O-line are all that good. Stanley is past his prime, and we need 2 guards and a solid RT. Only Linderbaum should be kept but I think he's gonna become a FA and go to some other team because EDC was too late on the draw.

In the end, Steve will probably tell Harbs to can the DC and OC and the OC staff as well but keep Harbs at least for one more year.

And, about Steve, I love the guy but, shoot, he ought to talk to the press when he goes about making these changes.

Harbs was quick to respond to Donut man, partially. He denies a riff between he and Lamar, but never addressed the other issues, in other words. Nothing about Lamar sleeping in meetings, being out of shape, demanding practice be in fhe afternoon because he cannot get up early.

Either Harbs evaded the questions or the reporters didn't follow up with them. Me, coach, what about Lamar sleeping in meetings, is it happening? How about practice time, was it changed because Lamar requested it be changed?

Maybe the article I read, in the NY Post, didn't cover his response to those questions, but as thorough as the article was, they would have..

Hmmm. There was an unscientific poll in The Sun about the Ravens and Lamar and the leading poll result, of several options, was that we should trade Lamar for picks or players.

Eric has a lot of blame for this fall.

I know, hind sight is 20-20, but sometimes we just have to focus a little better on the writing on the wall.

Let us look at the biggest issue with the defense; edge rusher.

Forget the draft busts, look at free agents.

One glaring one, keeping VanNoy, a solid leader over Clowny. I know, Clowny really wanted to go back home and play in Carolina. But Eric had another shot at him in mid September when he was released and went to play for Dallas. He now has 6 sacks, multi game pressures and tfls. This, on a bad Dallas defense.

It is just one of many mistakes Eric has made in free agency.

Some people are great number 2's, but terrible as a #1. We see it often in coordinators who go on to be head coaches and fail. But it can aslo be so in other areas of the team.

His drafts have not been all of that either, sure, a couple obvious wins with 1st rounders, but a lot of misses.

He is still "young" as a #1, but he should be on a warm seat.

A tad early to give up on EDC. He has done well in ending the WR drought but does seem unable to draft an impact edge rusher. I'll give him one last draft before I call for his head but it would certainly help if Steve tells him that.

Would love to know what the issue with Tez is, little to no playing time for the biggest and one of the fastest wide outs on the team? He makes every catch when given the chance, even the well under thrown ones. Yet, no expanded roll even when Bateman is out, which is often.

They bring up scrubs from the practice squad and use them to run routes and get no separation.

Nope.  I don’t want him hiring a new hc.  A guy who said he didn’t have much to do this yr was completely out of touch.  I want the decks cleared.

Raheem Morris was fired, start with the defense. Clearly there is talent there but Orr can't sustain the level of intensity from quarter to quarter. Make Morris the defensive coordinator, clearly head coaching is not for him.
