Solid team player, very good hands, quick and shifty, no way they trade him. He just needs to work from the slot more, but the Ravens have not used a true burner, like say Walker for what ever reason, on the outside.

The more likely trade candidate is Bateman, cheap contract, great hands but he too is a slot guy but he cant seem to stay healthy

You cannot give him a 35 per over 5 yrs.  He doesn’t score enough.  He is a complete liability in the red zone.  He needs lots of space to be useful.  If he can’t be here for a reasonable price he is a liability bc he takes resources that can help you elsewhere.

Given the organization's inability to find/develope recievers, one that has come along you hang onto. 

Bateman has success in the redzone because of Flowers and the tight ends.

Quickness is more needed in the redzone than speed.

Zay is at 49th place with 5 tds.  That’s is real pedestrian.  He is hanging around with Hollywood brown and Gibbs for scores.  Not good.  Dudes who were part time players have mores scoring.

Is that on him or on coaching/play calling? I would also think that bigger sized receivers do better in the red zone than the small, fast guys.

I'm not saying speed cant get open, just that in short yardage such the redzone, quickness kills more

I just don’t think he has a nose for the end zone.  Break huge play and reach the engine then.

Wow, Rams took Simpson, what a surprise, even to their coaches who were; "not amused".

While he is in a great system to help him succeed, and has a good mentor in Stafford, they way over drafted him.

The rams won’t be up that high again for the next couple.  But Stanford had th3 back last yr.  I think they could have traded back a good bit and still got him.  Only zona was competition for him.

Right. If they wanted him that badly, they could have easily traded down and gotten more picks and still gotten him.

It was a dumb move and poorly executed as well. 
Maybe Mcvay outsmarted himself.
