6 Points, another 1st round loss in the playoffs, at home, on Monday night, when &  where Mike T never loses, 22-4 overall, 12-0 at home.

Well, at least until last night. Sure, he has an impressive streak of not having a losing season, but this is the 2nd year in a row where his team didn't just lose in the first round, they were destroyed.

This year, against a team who kept dropping the snap on offense and only put up 17 pts, their defense scored 13 pts.

Is Roger now going to sail off into the sunset with his supposed wife?

Is Tomlin done? Yes, solid regular season record, but he is now 8-13 in the playoffs. He has now tied Marvin Lewis for most consecutive playoff loses, with 7.

8 division titles, 3 AFC championship games, 2 Super Bowls, 1 win.

But since Big Ben retired, nadda, zip, zilch, not even a decent quarterback.

What? Really? 1 super Bowl win, same as Harbs. Great regular season record, not so much in the post season.

He is Harbs, the one you bash when the wind blows north. No thanks, besides he said he wants to take a year off.

Why couldn't he get those players in his 19 years at Pitt?

He won his Super Bowl and got to another with players drafted BEFORE he became coach. Just like, as you say, Harbs did with his Super Bowl victory.

Once those players got old, were released, or retired, he brought in no one.

Should we go over the list of qbs he brought in & or drafted over the years?

Same coach, no thanks.

It is not a Pitt thing, I just see the two as interchangeable. OK, there is the whole stepping onto the field to slow down Jacoby Jones as he was returning a kick for an easy touchdown, where everyone gave him a pass including the league.

Yeah. He didn’t buy the groceries.  I was saying 3 yrs before Ben retired that they needed to draft Ben’s replacement.  They never did until right before he retired with Rudolph.  Then they never lost enough to get a good pick to get a replacement.

Purdy was the last pick, there have been several qbs taken after the 1st or late in the 1st, they could have drafted. Do you know the pecking order of the Steelers? Did he not have any say in when and who to draft? With his record, at the time?

You go to 2 Super Bowls, winning one, plus all those division titles, just when do they shut down and draft a qb early?

So Tomlin was slow on when to pull the trigger, they had a shot at Lamar and passed. Seems to me, as I said, he is Harbs, Harbs is him. What separates them is a win or two each year that can be attributed to players making mistakes. The ball bounces funny sometimes and it has nothing to do with the coach. But it does with a close win.

Purdy, romo, and Brady are all unicorns.  It’s so rare getting a qb in the 5th or later that has any value.  For say the last 7 yrs they should have shut it down and done a full rebuild.  I think they will be a bottom 5 team for them next 5 yrs at least depending on who they get as coach.
