tsylvester Posted Saturday at 10:14 AM Posted Saturday at 10:14 AM They need to take Loop, the center and holder to M&T stadium every day and have him practice kicking there from the right hash. Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 10:26 AM Posted Saturday at 10:26 AM Minter after the game, on Loop “You want to see makes in games,” Minter told reporters after the 41-2 win. “And so, it’s something we’ll continue to look at. We’ll continue to look at what the best situation is there. He has had a good camp overall, but again, it comes down to making the kicks and the pressure situations in the game. So, that’s something I think that we’ll always be looking at to make sure that we’re doing what’s best for the team.” Per NBC Quote

tsylvester Posted Saturday at 11:13 PM Posted Saturday at 11:13 PM I was pulling for Webb Jr, and a bit surprised by Longerbeam being let go, though this is a deep part of the team. One or both should make the ps me thinks. No other real surprises so far Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 12:56 AM Posted Sunday at 12:56 AM Ravens trading Pounds for a future pick According to Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs struck a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to acquire rookie offensive tackle Diego Pounds. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the trade compensation “is contingent on the picks that Kansas City has available at the end of the season; it could result in either a Day 3 2027 pick or a Day 3 2028 pick.” Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 12:44 PM Posted Sunday at 12:44 PM Im guessing the trade of Cj is a sign that Beeks is going to be ready? Quote
oldno82 Posted Sunday at 04:01 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:01 PM We can only hope. Still 2 weeks of practice left for him to ramp up. Quote

tsylvester Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM Very good special teams player and can be situational on defense. Quote

oldno82 Posted Monday at 03:56 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:56 PM Good developmental decision. Hopefully, he pans out for us. Quote
oldno82 Posted Monday at 08:06 PM Author Posted Monday at 08:06 PM Ravens add kicker Jake Moody to practice squad: "Moody had a prolific college career at Michigan, where he was twice named the Big Ten Kicker of the Year and won the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker in 2021. Him and Head Coach Jesse Minter overlapped in 2022 when Minter was Michigan's defensive coordinator. The San Francisco 49ers drafted Moody in the third round in 2023, making him just the second kicker to be selected within the top 100 picks in the previous 15 drafts. He converted 76.2% of his field-goal attempts during his first two seasons with the 49ers and was cut after the 49ers' first game last season after going 1-for-3 with a miss from 27 yards and a blocked attempt from 36 yards. Moody went to Chicago, where he made eight of his nine attempts in two games played, then finished the season as the Commanders' kicker and was 10-for-11. However, Moody lost a training camp battle this summer in Washington against undrafted rookie Drew Stevens. Ravens kicker Tyler Loop had a strong training camp but missed three of his eight field-goal attempts this preseason, including two from 58 and one from 51 yards." Quote
tsylvester Posted Monday at 10:19 PM Posted Monday at 10:19 PM Competition for what it's worth, but certainly not good competition, man am I tired of Michigan players Quote
oldno82 Posted Monday at 11:10 PM Author Posted Monday at 11:10 PM I would prefer they sign Prater, even at 42 years old. He was still clutch last year. Quote
oldno82 Posted yesterday at 05:14 AM Author Posted yesterday at 05:14 AM Something we should remember...I, and many other fans I'm sure, are spoiled by having Justin Tucker, the GOAT, here for the last dozen years or so. Tucker was a one-of-a-kind. He was superb under pressure and had a great leg. I've lost track of all of his exploits but I'll never forget him kicking under all kinds of weather conditions and putting 3 points on the board over and over again. But his time has come and gone, mostly due to his own personal foibles. Now we're kind of back to reality with Loop. I still think we can do better but we really won't know until the season starts exactly what we're going to have unless Moody suddenly discovers the secret of consistency. Or Loop does. Or they discover another option we haven't considered yet. We'll just see how this all plays out. But I really don't think we'll ever see another Tucker. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I worry, but yes, he was tied for 16th in all kickers for 2025. Quote
oldno82 Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago And Moody ranked 28th. Looking at that list of percentage made, there aren't a lot of other kickers from 2025 who are known to be better than Loop available now. Quote
tsylvester Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I guess we should be happy if he stays out of massage parlors Quote

He was better than the Steelers for sure. Our O took a step back and when our O suffered, Tucker was king...let's not have to put Loop in those things Quote
oldno82 Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Right, as much as possible. But eventually a situation will happen where he will have to make a 45 yarder to win a game. I just don't know if he can or can't do it...it's TBD. I still think IF they decide to make a change they ought to go with Matt Prater. Quote
