vmax Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Maybe it the style of offense and playbook language. These guys have to start right away so maybe Clemmins is more ready for the Texans. Both are losers anyway. What I don't get it all this talk about how the Bears should be ok without Cutler. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 I saw Orton carry the Bears to the playoffs as a rookie. Linert is the starter and I saw him flownerwith Q, Fitz, and several other weapons. Quote
vmax Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Wow...Jeff Garcia tried out...now that's a blast from the past! Clemens tried out for the Texans on Monday, along with Jeff Garcia, Trent Edwards, Brodie Croyle and Chase Clement. Clemens had an edge because he was in training camp with Washington and coach Mike Shanahan, Houston coach Gary Kubiak's former mentor. papasmurfbell Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 So if thats the case why not claim Orton. He has had success more recently than anybody they are looking at or have. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 The Chiefs claimed him anyway, so moot point. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 I didn't see that. I thought they were on the suck for Luck train. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 They are still close enough to challenge for the division. It looks like the only team committed to sucking for Luck is the Colts. Quote

He could have been out there in a few weeks but the front office may not want to win. Quote
RavenMad Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 http://insider.espn....er_x/id/7195867 i can't get the whole article but one part has it where Chad Henne was put on IR with a sholder seperation. He could have been out there in a few weeks but the front office may not want to win. The Dolphins look much better with Matt Moore at the helm. His last 4 games he has thrown 7 TDs to 1 pick and completed 67% of his passes. They only lost to the Cowboys on the road to a last 2nd FG. He has breathed some life into that offense. Henne is done in Miami. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 I doubt they FO knew he was a better option. They probably thought he would flownder like Henne did. Quote
